call cobra at 773 889 3087 you can purchase a new speaker for a few dollars it is very simple to install remove four screw on bottom of detector pop out the actual board and unplug the speaker and simply plug in the new one but be careful when taking apart the detector it is all plastic and there are clips that can be easily broken .

the stock speaker is only 0.5 watt. Replaced with a .75 watt. Mine and two friends both had blown speakers by they middle of the second year of use. The only other real problem was too many false alarms in town, but better safe than sorry, bang for the buck is great-saved me more than I care to think about in tickets and residual costs. Now, it's loosing it's sensitivity, still goes off for false alarms but I got a ticket and it didn't go off (not laser) and can drive by the posted speed-readout radar things they park-mount on utility pole for "us" and it wont even go off. The other day it did, one out of 20 times (by my house) it was Ka! Luckily, the local cops use KU in their crusers so it will work until I get a new one. Too bad it's dying, planned obsolecence is only a year on these I would GUESS.

You either blew speaker or broke the wires in the flip joint that control the speaker. Needs to have a new flip installed to correct problem.

Do you want to replace it with the same thing or are you looking to add an exterior speaker to it? It's a very simple task to do, you need to disassemble the unit and find the piezo speaker that's currently installed to the board. The part number will be listed on it. It may even have a manufacturers name on it. Once you've got the info, you can go to the manufacturers website and get the specifications for it. If you want the same, any electrical parts site will sell it. If you want to increase the volume look for a piezo with a higher efficiency rating. There's only 2 or 4 solder connections that need to be made on the board to replace the piezo. If you want to get creative, move the speaker to the headliner on the drivers side and run a wire to the unit with a small quick disconnect so you can take out the main unit with ease. parts will cost under 10 bucks to do it. hi the problem your having could be one of a couple of things the first to check is that all the speaker wires a fitted correctly and not come out of socket as a speaker wire shorting could give you the problem your having.
The second and most likely problem is going to be a problem with the amp part of the circuit board usually a blown resistor but in your case as the unit comes on for few minutes then the chances are its just a solder joint failing on the board this causing the unit to trip out as a safety measure to stop it setting on fire.
Check the sub woofer cable is fitted properly as this is the usuall problem with you make and model let me know when you have checked all of this ok

If the overcurrent of DC offset lights are not green, the amplifier probably has blown output transistors.

To eliminate other problems, disconnect all speaker wires from the speaker terminals of the amp and disconnect signal cables from the amp. If it powers up normally (all lights green), the wiring needs to be checked. If it still shuts down, the amp likely has blown output transistors.

well you're phone has a problem with its speakers. sometimes, if you drop that phone, it affects the speaker on the back of the phone. you have to tap the back of the phone slightly then it should work fine. if not, you should get a new phone from t-mobile and call them and say you're having problems with the phone. ask for a new unit. that happened to me b4 too and they gave me a new unit.as long as it hasn't been over 45 days from when you bought the phone.

I have the same problem with mine! I have NO idea how to fix it. I've read through the entire manual and I still can't figure out how to fix it. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, PLEASE help!!
