I've been getting many, not all, digital channels fine on my Vizio VX37L by just plugging the wall cable in. I decided to run a channel search to see if I could get more channels. After the search, I was only getting the regular channels. When I land on a HD channel, it says no signal.
I have found nothing in the booklet on this, nor is there anything on the menu to choose digital signal.
Anyone know how to resolve this?
That may not be correct. You would not lose all your digital channels. Vizio has an un-addressed problem with losing digital stations. Multiple threads are posted due to this problem, which is why I am on this site. I have lost all digital stations on CATV connection. The Toshiba set in the next room is getting over 150 DTV channels, the Vizio, only analog. Zero Digital.
Thats the problem, you need a stronger signal, if theres no antenna on the roof your not going to get much, digital is either there or not,no in between

it's just the cable from the building. i guess it serves as an antenna, but i do get some cable channels without subscribing to cable.
but it was there, fully. until i did the channel auto search which seemed to kill it.
i was getting a signal, fully, until I ran an auto search for channels.
whats on the other end of the cable, antenna or cable tv?
