Hello my Palm TX will only show the Media and Install applications on my desktop, even though the hot sync says that it transferred successfully. I have all of the applications checked to be transferred but they are not showing up on my desktop. Plus The touch screen has become very erratic. I downloaded the Power DiGi and ran it 3 times but it did not correct my problem P.S. I am Using Windows Vista OS I have a Palm Tungsten E with an erratic screen. Have had it for a number of years, but would like to keep using it. It started with the text input portion of the screen and has migrated upwards. Any help would be great.

Your palm may just need a new lcd assembly.
it's not all that unusual the they wear out after some time. have you replace the battery lately??
if not I would start there and if you don;t get better operation look at replacing the lcd as for y it's not transferring apps i would think that could be software related and may a product of you software on your computer.

By typing hot Sync my palm makes a restart

Try this, uninstall your current version of Palm Desktop, then go to this link on the Palm support website http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/na/tungsten/tx/unlocked/home/page_en.html this will give you the link to the download for the TX version of Palm Desktop, this may or may not fix your particular problem but it is worth a try.

Palm tx transfering music to device

Ptunes! It should have come with your TX software bundle, and it works with Windows Media Player.
  1. Rip your desired music to WMP. Keep WMP open.
  2. Connect your TX to your computer via USB cable.
  3. Open Ptunes on your TX.
  4. Select Sync from the ribbon at the top of your computer screen. Your TX should appear under devices in the top right. If not, click "Refresh Devices."
  5. Drag music from your WMP playlist to your sync list.
  6. Click Sync.
  7. Music should show up on your TX, ready to play.
  8. Click Stop Communicating on your TX before disconnecting from the computer.
To find your music in Ptunes:
  1. Open Ptunes on your TX .
  2. Click the music notes icon in the bottom right.
  3. Select from the folders displayed.
  4. Enjoy!

I bought the games Yahtzee and Solitaire yeasterday. I can't get either game to even show up on my computer. Could you please help me load them to my palm t/x?

These applications need to be added to your Palm desktop installer program located on your computer.  Once the Palm is plugged in the applications will be added during the sync process.

Quick install not working

If you look on your palm, do you know what the Palm name is?
You can find this by clicking the hotsync icon once and it should appear in the upper right hand corner.

Then in quick install, make sure the name in the drop down window matches. You could be installing the files to the wrong profile.

The other thing to check is to make sure your palm is successfully syncing. The hotsync icon on the palm should show the last successful sync time and date.

Palm M515 hot sync problem

I have a similar problem with my m515. I have 3 palms and 2 sync fine but the 3rd isn't even getting to the computer. There is no recognition from the computer that the palm is trying to sync even though I use the same cradle for all palms. The ensuing message is, "the connection between your handeld computer and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again". My settings are set Local and Cradle/Cable.

Hot sync operation cancelled (8001)

Try replacing the cradle or if you can install Palm desktop on another computer and try synchronizing on it. This is usually a sign of a week cradle or COM port on your computer.
