Frigidaire Gallery FEF368CCS Electric Range bake and/or broil do not work

FEF368CCS Electric Range. Set oven temp to desired temp--- bake indicator goes to 100 degrees for a few seconds then goes out (like when you cancel). Oven element does not get warm. Broil function does same thing.. when the on indicator lights, it is only for a few seconds then everything goes out. No error codes or other fault indicators. Suggestions?

SOURCE: Oven does not heat up

It could be a bake element or an oven control problem. If you have a volt meter, remove the back of the oven and test the voltage across the bake element terminals while it is on. You should have 240 volts. If it is less than that, you have a control problem.

If you have no way to check the voltage, replace the element and try it. It is the cheaper part to replace if you want to try something.

Post back if you need to know how to change it or need further guidence.

SOURCE: Electric Oven not getting hot enough

Sir, I think the top oelement is for broiling ONLY. It should not turn on when baking. The clicking may be the oven heating up.
How far apart were the oven temp instrument and the digital?
Don't expect them to match...they are inaccurate.

1. Heat water until it boils. Place digital therm in boiling water until it comes up to 212deg. If it is not at 212 in boiling water, record the error.(this gives a rough calibration to the digital)
2 Turn on oven, set to 350 deg, place digital therm on rack. Wait until oven reaches 350 (on stove) and read the digital. Note the difference between the two

SOURCE: Oven not working

Sounds very much like the thermostat has failed and needs replacing.

A job for a qualified engineer I'm afraid.

SOURCE: JBP26 Oven broil and bake do not work and the oven light is flash

If you have 240Volts to the range and BOTH elements don't work, it sounds like the L2 OUT relay on the oven control is bad. Bake and Broil share this line and this problem is not un-common. Make sure you have proper incoming voltage first. Turn breaker off and back on to make sure both poles are set.

Frigidaire Gallery oven large element stopped working

Hello -

If you are referring to the bake element, but the broil element works then you would need to just replace the bake element. If both your bake and broil element does not work, then there might be a problem with the wiring communication. However, if the oven does not bake and/or broil but the cook top works, contact a professional to have the EOC (electronic oven control) diagnosed.

Top element wont heat wen oven is on bake

The top element normally operates only when you turn the temperature control all the up to the broil setting as it is the broiling element. If it doesn't work at the broil setting, suspect a bad brioler element or a faulty temperature control.

Frigidaire Gallery stove, oven won't heat up (electric)

With the oven OFF, check the resistance of the bake element with a ohmmeter on the lowest scale. Rx1. If your reading is infinate, replace the element as most elements will open circuit when they burn out. They don't short out.

I have a frigidaire gallery stove. The bake not working

Your oven ignitor has gone out. This is located under the pan in the bottom of the oven. This is held in with 2 screws in the back portion of the pan. This will expose the ignitor and then 2 screws take it out. Replace this and this will fix it. very common problem

After temp is set bottom oven will not heat up to desired temp

you probably have a burnt out or shorted out lower bake element in you r lower oven. it sometimes will actually break apart or look like it sparked thru the black tubular section. it is common and will cause no heat during the bake cycle.
you could try to do a broil and see if it gets hot and that would let you know the control is ok and just needs the lower bake element.

Frigidaire Range - Oven does not work

If your ignitor looks real dull orange then that is what is wrong. It needs to be bright as the sun or it is weak.
