SOURCE: I have a John Deere rider gt262, battery

First make sure you have a good ground. Remove the negative cable where it grounds to the frame and use sandpaper to make sure it is clean. The most likely guess is a bad voltage regulator (if equipped with one) or the charging coil that is under the flywheel. Use a multimeter set on DC voltage to check the output to the battery when the engine is running. You should see a reading of around 13-13.5 volts. If less then this it is most likely one of those two items.

They appear to come in sizes from ride on toy to small toys. find the battery compartment cover, unlatch or unscrew the retaining screw and remove the old and replace with new.

The steering cylinder is leaking on my John Deere F710 mower. Can this cylinder be rebuilt ? And how do I remove it?

To remove there pins on each end, removed cotter pins.
Your seal is leaking. You can replace the seal youself or take it a hyd. shop.

I have a f710 lawn mower. When you turn on the keyswitch the battery voltage goes from 12.73 down to 4.5volts. This is new battery but don't know if it may be bad. It appears something is loading it up...

It is behaving as a faulty battery though it should be removed, charged and independently tested before it is returned under warranty.

to replace starter or rebuilt starter.

My 1991 f710 will start and run but when i release the clutch pedal, it stalls out immeditialy.

check seat switch if u changed seat make sure u pluged in harness and if seat came with new switch make sure polarity of switch is same as old one.one may be normalt open or normaly closed when off seat hope this hope this helps
