SOURCE: LG Electric Range Oven Keeps Shutting Off

When you say "Just shut off" do you mean the circuit breakers would trip, or fuses would blow? If so, I would have an electrician check that the circuit is properly fused/breakered and wire sized for the amount of power required by the oven. If the installation directions say it needs a 50 amp service, it better be a 50 amp service.
If shutting off is just something within the oven, then get LG back out again, and let us know of what they say is wrong.

SOURCE: lg range

Contact your states attorney general office and file a complaint online. Hopefully if enough of these get through they will do something. I live in Ohio and this is their website http://www.ohioattorneygeneral.gov/ConsumerComplaint

SOURCE: burner on range will not turn off

Look at the back of your range there should be schemetic for your power control board. look for defective burner wire going into relay. There should be 5 relays in rows. Realy is the problem. I had the same problem with my front left burner stuck on high.
After replacing everything works okay.

SOURCE: range top front burner will not shut off, stays on

I have the same problem with the LG LSB5682SW Electric Range - Font Left Burner will not go off / stays on high. This is very dangerous. LG customer service is horrendous. I think it is time for a recall before someone's house burns down!

SOURCE: The burners on my LG LRE30755ST range will not

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

The PF message will appear whenever there has been a power interruption to the appliance. To clear the PF message touch CLEAR/OFF control pad and be sure to reset the clock with the correct time of day.

• To clear the HS message touch ON/OFF pad.

if this does not correct the problem. you then have a defective control card, inside the range.

Gallery series convection oven delivered new yesterday.First burner that was turned on(front, right side) doesn't work. The rest do.

Hello Karen, thank you for your post!

Since you just received your unit recently, let's try resetting the range. This can be done by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is important to wait approximately ten minutes and then turn the range on. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, your appliance could possibly have a faulty burner or a potential wiring failure to the burner. At this point, I would highly recommend contacting or visiting the manufacturer website to find a service provide near you and to verify warranty information. If there is anything else that I can help you with, please feel free to reconnect!

Best of luck!

Oven will sometime take an hour to get to temp after being turned on. any thoughts?

If your oven is older or you live near the water check if there is a build up of fine rust over the burners. A fine wire brush lightly run over the top of the burners may be your solution. Before you attempt this disconnect electrical power and turn off the gas supply. If you are mechanical remove the front lower cover by opening the doors, removing the two screws located in the top of the lower cover next to the door hinges. The cover will remove to the front. Next remove the screws holding the shield in fromt of the burners. A long handled fine wire brush will allow you to brush the top of the burners. If there is a film of fine rust it will not be apparent when looking. After careful reinstallation of the burner shield and ensuring there is a safe area away from the exposed electrical connections for you. Reconnect electrical power and gas to the oven temporarily. This will alow the unit to be operated enableing you to look past the pilot flame to see if the burner flames are even across the burners. Disconnect electric and gas supply from the unit prior toiInstalling lower cover. After complete reassembly reconnect power and gas and enjoy.

LG lre30451S burner will not shut off. It is stuck on high and the only way to get it to go off is to flip the breaker. When I flip the breaker back on the burner goes back to high. Thanks

I had the same problem with my LG front left burnr. Look at the back of your range there should be schemetic for your power control board. look for defective burner wire going into relay. There should be 5 relays in rows. Relay is the problem. I had the same problem with my front left burner stuck on high.
After replacing relay everything works fine.

Surface unit indicator light is always on

One set of contacts in a surface unit switch is "welded" together, causing the burner indicator (pilot) light to remain on even when all burners are shut off.
With power disconnected to the range, remove the back cover behind the switches and pull one of the wires going from a surface unit switch to the indicator lamp. Make sure the bare wire is not touching anything and reconnect power. If the light goes out (and still goes on when the other burners are turned on) you found the bad switch. If light still on, repeat the procedure with another one of the burner switches (reconnecting the first) until you find which switch is the bad one. (most often it is the burner you use the most, generally the right front burner) If you post your full model number and tell me which switch it is, I can look up the part number for you.
