Tap into a signal wire (rear speaker wire) using a line level converter.
These convert the High level speaker wire output into low level RCA output that is accepted by your amplifier.
hooking up system to a factory infinity sound syst - c5b61ef.jpg Get a good one Pacific Accessory Corporation (PAC) sni-35 is the best IMO.
The TRUNK-LOC is the SAME as the SNI-35 - but it incorporates a voltage sensing input - so you dont need to run an additional turn-on wire. The voltage is sensed through the speaker wire - and it turns on the amplifier.

Then you will need a fused power wire from the battery,
Ground to chassis, and remote turn on lead (if you use a standard line level adapter).

An amplifier installation kit will give you everything you need to add 1 amplifier (except the converter)

How do I reset security system on 1999 jeep grand Cherokee gold infinity limited

If it's the factory system and the horn is sounding, cycle the door lock with the key to turn off the alarm. Sometimes the switch in the door lock is broken due to age, try the passenger or rear hatch lock if the driver's door won't reset it.

Some 1999 Cherokees were also equipped with an immobilizer, which uses a transponder chip in the key that is read by an antennae around the ignition lock.

The two systems are separate from each other, so more information may be needed.

Infinity gold radio seems to work but cant get any sound

It's really hard to answer a question such as this. There's barely enough information to reach any type of conclusion. What kind of Jeep? Cherokee? Grand Cherokee, Wrangler? Renegade? Liberty? I could just keep going. Maybe it's a Willys 1942? I really don't know. However, based on what little information you've provided I'll give a little answer. Fuse. How's that. No. Wait, if it's an infinity system it has a factory amp. If only I knew which year and model...Hmmm, Cherokee's and Grand Cherokees have them under the back seat. Does yours have a fuse in it? I don't know BECAUSE I DON'T KNOW WHAT YEAR AND MODEL IT IS.

Why does both of the front door speakers sound so low? I have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee with a infinity gold soung system with a amp under the rear seats.

THE DOOR SPEAKERS ARE MADE TO SOUND LOW FREQUENCY THROUGH THE AMP,(60HZ-500HZ). THIS IS NORMAL. THE REST OF THE SOUND WAVES (500HZ -8000HZ) COME FROM YOUR 2 TOP SPEAKERS ON DASH NEAR WINDSHIELD, 2" TWEETERS.

Is there an in-line amplifier for the speakers in a 96 jeep grand cherokee limited w/ infinity gold audio system

Yes, the Infinity Gold series audio systems have a separate amplifier. In my '97 the amplifier is located under the drivers side rear seat.
Note that the amplifier is set to have speaker level inputs as opposed to regular level inputs. Both the amplifier and the speakers are NOT easily mixed and matched with after market components.

Amplifier

Yes. Most likely your factory speakers are blown as I've seen this many times. They are co-axials (2 ways) and the woofer part of the speaker is blown or the surround is rotted and only the tweeters are playing. I also believe that the front door speakers are low frequenct. Are they playing or buzzing?? Let me know and I can confirm this as the solution. You need new speakers.
