Had player from new, not much use just happened all of a sudden and now will only play DVD's with no problem and CD's when it feels like it.
Cleaned lens and transport tray and still plays DVD's ok, will play cd's every time when machine is cold, once up to temp problems then start on the CD playback.
Could software update cure the problem, or does the lens need replacing if that is possible.

hi!! we have read your problem.make sure the dvd player is kept in a position such that its able to sink the temperature ie (free space for 5 cms from the player on each side).clean the lens using only the recommended solvents.never use detergents or plain water and importantly dont touch the lens with bare hands. every problem has a
