Bra wiore inside drum

Hi Hotpoint Aquarius WML560(G) with a bra wire stuck inside the drum. Managed to get the paddle removed but only succeeded in pushing the wire further in to the machine under the element. Is this where the water drain is and do you think i can leave the wire there? it does not appear to be hindering the drum in any way. Worried about the drain and element though. Any ideas? Thanks.

HAVE YOU A GOOD BRIGHT TORCH? IF SO I REMOVED MINE WITH A TORCH IN MY TEETH & A SMALL FLAT ENDED SCREWDRIVER, IF YOU CAN SEE IT TURN OFF ALL POWER TO THE MACHINE FIRSTLY THEN USING THE SMALL SCREWDRIVER COAX THE BRA WIRE TOWARDS THE NEAREST HOLE IN YOUR DRUM & THEN FEED IT THROUGH AS BEST AS POSSIBLE & THEN GRAB IT WITH EITHER FINGERS OR PLIERS IF IT IS A STRUGGLE TO PULL IT OUT.
DONT LEAVE IT IN THERE & THEN OPERATE IT AS IT WILL JAM IT & BLOW YOUR EXPENSIVE MOTOR WHICH ARE APPROX £80 OR HIGHER & YOUR PUMP IF IT JAMS IN THE BLADES BEFORE REACHING YOUR FILTER ..

I have got a Hotpoint Aquarius + WF740 1400 spin speed. When the drum is moving slow inbetween cycles there is a wereing noise, In the wash cycle it clunks but it's ok in spin mode. When I move the drum...

there could be something stuck between the inner and outer drum, eg. a bra wire a common culprit.
inside the drum you have 3 lifters ( blue pillars). remove one of these by pulling it towards you.this will allow you to see into the inner drum. get a flash lamp and have a good look rotating the inner drum around.
if you see anything get a pair of pliers to pull in out as you cant get a nasty cut.
replace lifter as u removed it.
if bearings were gone would sound like a tractor while spinning.

Bra wire stuck in drum

Tricky one there. Anyway, best way to tackle that is to locate the heating element and remove it. The bra cup spring normally locates itself against the element. Look in the element cavity with a torch and you will normally find it while slowly turning the drum. Use a long type of extraction pliers and remove.

Machine very noisy when it spins. Missing bra

If you cannot here it catching, then leave well alone, if it is still catching, then you could to try to locate it by removing the lower rear cover of washer, remove the large black hose on bottom of drum, and see if you can locate it from the bottom of the drum.
Hope this helps.

Bra wire stuck between the drums in hotpoint WD440 Aquarius washer dryer

Look all around the inner tub with a torch , if you spot the wire sticking through grasp it firmly with pliers and pull out , dont let it go , if it slips completely between drums it is more difficult to get to.

My WD440 has trown its drive belt and something

hi
it sounds like there is a sock or something simular stuck between the drum and tank, the paddle is removable which may help you hook out the item,if you grab the drum paddle from the rear and pull it towards you it will then lift up,once you have removed the offending item, you just line up the slots on the drum with the pegs on the paddle and push towards the rear of the machine and you will here a click, this means the paddle is secure.

Are you from outside the United States? I tried running the model number in our system and it does not come up as submitted. In the GE/Hotpoint Look-up there are only three models listed...Without a good and verifiable model number, I cannot help further.....

I need to get access to the drum, how easy is this to strip out?

if you remove one of the paddles from inside the drum you may be able to grab it with long nose pliers or wire coathanger.
put a small screw driver into the paddle's 3rd hole from the front to press in a metal tab carefully not to bend it completely and pull the paddle towards the front and it will come off.
if the bra wire is up the back of the drum you may be able to grab it with removal of the heater element round the back of the machine at the bottom of the drum, loosen the 10mm bolt,(not off clompletely) and wiggle the heater out.
