I have the same phone and have no problems playing either wave files or mp3s. Make sure that your music is in one of those formats. If you need software in order to convert your sound files, I recommend Goldwave. It is simple to use and has a wide range of applications. A trial version can be found on the download.com web site. Good Luck.

For some reason, my music won't play on the LG Vu. All music files are MP3 here. For some reason, ALL of them show as 4093 MB. BTW, my card is 1 GB

I'm having the same problem. Was hoping for some help on here, but it looks like it's the phone. Nothing is wrong with the music, its MP3 a supported format on this phone. I've played these same tracks on my PS3 through the card. I've reformatted my memory card like others have said. Everything on my memory card is listed, but when i go to play a song on the phone i get a "file not found" message. This happens on both the music player and the audio & ringtones menu. Very frustrating, I'm going back into AT&T to see if they can help.

Phone shuts off

if you droped the Vu than you could have damaged the insides and that might cause the repeating of it shuting off but a easyer way to get music onto your Vu is to get a Micro SD and get an adaptor for it and put music on that and then plug the SD into your phone its alot easyer and faster than useing the cord

hope this helps

How to Transfer Music to my Phone?

First of all, be sure that you have enough space in your phone for your music files. If not, you really need to insert a memory card. The bigger the memory, the more music files you can store in it. Then be sure that your phone is properly installed on your PC. Try also plugging your USB cable to another port. If you have been having problems with it, install it again using its driver. After these steps and your phone is recognized, you access your memory card and there, you can copy music files from yorr PC and paste into your memory card. I haven't used this Nokia model so I suggest you copy and paste music files directly and not by folders so it'd be easier for you to play those music (non-stop). For further question, feel free to comment or add clarification.

Creative zen music will not play on memory card

I also use Napster. Unfortunately with the music being on the memory card and not on the device itself, Napster detects this and will not play music from the memory card.

There are two things you can do to resolve this, the first one won't cost you anything. Move non-Napster music files to the memory card, leaving only Napster music on the device itself. As a Napster-To-Go device, you'll be able to play and sync without issues. The second is to purchase the tracks from Napster that you want on the memory card. Once you do this, you can play them in any compatible media - not just the Zen device.
