Forgotten my passcode for my kindle - Cell Phones

Type resetmykindle into the passcode field then enter. this will reset your kindle and you can make a new password.

Hold the power switch for twenty seconds. You will need to slide the power switch along and hold it for twenty seconds before releasing it.

Your reboot screen should appear when you release the power switch.

Give your device time to reboot for a minute or two.

Turn the Kindle Fire HD back on.

If you can't remember the passcode for your Kindle, you'll need to reset your device. Press the Keyboard key to bring up the onscreen keyboard. Type reset my kindle into the passcode field, and then use the 5-way controller to select Done.

You can change the password to your Kindle Fire from the Security Settings menu on the device if you know the current password. However, if you have forgotten your passcode, you will need to perform a factory reset to restore original settings to the device. Once factory settings are restored, re-register your device with your Amazon credentials and sync your device with your account to restore your downloaded items.

Go to Amazon.com they have an entire section on the kindle and if I'm not mistaken they have a way for you to retrieve your passcode. good luck.
