I have a 2006 Rendezvous and I have the Prostart CT-4311TW model and I have the lock/unlock and hatch working but cannot start the vehicle remotely. I too think its the bypass but I am not sure which wire is the ground. I have the DBALL2 bypass model. Any help would be appreciated.

The problem was the remote starter. It failed, completely. I got a new one and it works perfectly now. Bypass was working too, so my first diagnosis was wrong.

SOURCE: I installed prostart remote starter in 2002 Sonoma, used xpresskit bypass module to bypass passlock 2, truck started with remote ,now won;t start with remote, have to reset and start with truck key

If you are sure that everything is connected properly, then the only explanation could the ground when running from the remote starter to the bypass. If you are using data to data(D2D), switch over to wire to wire. Test the ground when running connection from the remote starter (white) to the ground when running connection of the Xpresskit (blue). You could even go so far as to connect the ground when running of the bypass to constant ground for the test. You CANNOT leave this wire connected to chassis ground.
Also, that vehicle has a second ignition wire(white) that MUST BE power up for remote start. If not, it will trigger the check engine light.

IF your transmission is truly slipping then changing the fluid is not going to help. It won't hurt but it won't help. I am wondering, are you sure the transmission is slipping. It will have a check engine light on and a trouble code if it is slipping.

2002 buick Lesabre (Limited) - When operating the AC I have warm air coming out of the on driver's side vents and cold air on coming out the passanger side vents.

check battery, battery cables, starter, starer solenoid, check if your battery have any power left, by turning lights on, if light is strong then on the starter motor, remove the remote wire, the thin wire connected to the starter from the ign. switch, instead of the remote cable, try to by pass it, with battery voltage, with ign switch on on pasition, if your starter works the starter is good if not change the estater, if starter works then check the remote wire, could be damage, could be the starter switch, fuse , or the starter relay. when working on car always make sure if the engine starts there is rotsting components. Thanks

Where is the thermostat on a 2003 rendez-vous

If you have the 3400 engine it is on the left [drivers] end of the engine and is between the end of the intake manifold and the exhaust cross-over pipe. Just follow the radiator hose from the radiator to the engine on that side and you'll find the housing at the engine end of the hose. I'ts a tough one to get out as the exhaust pipe and throttle body are in the way but it will come out. It's also very easy for the thermostat to get out of place when trying to get the housing, thermostat, and bolts back in that tight spot so you have to keep a close watch on everything to be sure it all gets put back together properly so it won't leak. Hope this helps!

The check engine light on my 2005 buick rendez vous came on and they say i have to change some kind of sensor. what should i do

Take vehicle to an AutoZone store and one of the guys there to retrive your computer trouble codes, they will do it and give you a print out of the codes and their meaning. This a free service they offer to their customers.

In case you need a sensor replaced, they will pinpoint it for you. Replacing a sensor is just a thing of unscrewing the old and screw in the new one.

Remote starter

I had the same issue with my remote start on another vehicle, the part that bypasses the code on the key had to be reset. The way we figured it out was everything was normal except the vehicle did not start & the security light flashed rapidly.
