Broken power button

The button to power up my unit broke. It just sunk in when I pressed it to power it on. It is still in there. It still turns on when I plug it in the usb port. I opened up the unit, but I really don't know what to do. Any suggestions???

13. If the printer has already initialized, then go to the next step. If not, the printer will start the “ONE TIME INK INITIALIZATION PROCESS”. Allow this process to complete and do not interrupt. Once the initialization process is complete, the printer will print out a Diagnostic Page.

I cannot start my laptop by pressing the power button anymore. Over the months of use the button sunk a little and I had difficulty starting the laptop in the past, although after pressing at different...

on most HP laptops there is a little notch on the power panel on the right hand side (panel directly below your screen) you will need a small flat head screwdriver to pry it open, on some models it is easier to pry it up where the screen hinges are, after you get it open you should be able to access your power button to see if it has "sunk" into its place on the panel, as for raising it back up i dont suggest you try, try putting something behind the button on the panel you just removed like a small piece of paper or what ever you find, just nothing metal as this might cause a short, hope this helps

Why won't my GPS shut off when I press the on off button?

Alot of the times the place where the button should be making contact with the contacts on the circuit board, don't. I would open the unit up and ensure the ends of the plastic power button aren't broke. ie. you can feel them press in when you press them manually without the plastic button.

Another way to turn your unit off is to press the Repeat button (on top) + Enter + Cancel at the same time.
