These are not a good design alot of people have this problem. the door panel has a small ear on it that breaks and it is hooked directly to the window control switch. you can either glue it back or order a new door panel.. Sorry but they should have made this holder a little different but they sure did a sloppy job on this little part. Jerry

I have a 2010 jeep liberty my dr side window stop working and window broke now none of the other windows will work is this a fuse problem

It may have pulled the wire loose from the master panel on the door (with controls for all windows). You should probably take the door panel off and inspect.

Checking for blown fuse is a common problem fix, but your master control on drivers door may have a loose conection, or may be faulty. Remove all surrounding screws for door control pad and with gentle prying should loosen pad without removing door panel.Press together all connectors. Windows should operate. if pad dose not come free door panel must be removed.

Why all power windows stop working at same time honda accord 2002

The most likely reason is a blown or loose fuse. Hondas also use a special controller on the driver's window control panel, and these controllers are notorious for burning out. As always, after confirming that the fuse is good, the best way to start is to get out your volt meter or test light and make sure you have voltage at the window control panel. From there, you trace back to find a broken wire between the door and the fuse panel or trace forward through the switch.

Driver's side power window was inop. Window failed to go back up. Chevy dealer replaced the regulator motor and now working. Now the power dood lock switch on drivers side won't unlock doors.. Is the...

Hi, that wire is disconnected when the door panel is removed to work on the window motor. Take the car back and ask them to reconnect your door locks. If you want to fix it yourself, you may be able to access the connector by removing only the control panel where the door lock switch is installed. Remove any visible screws and then pry gently to pull up the panel. Odds are, however, that the whole door panel will need to be pulled loose to find the cable. You can possibly just pull the bottom of the panel loose, but do it carefully. Feed the wire back up to the control panel and reconnect to the switch. Thanks for using Fixya.

Passenger & rear power windows not working

First to keep with the basics, make sure you haven't inadvertantly hit the safety lockout button on your drivers side control panel. Then pop out or unscrew the switch from it's holder and check with a test light if the power is being ditributed to the other windows, if not you'll need a new door control modual and you'll have to take it to the dealer so they can code it and activate it according to your keyless entry system. This is probably covered under waranty and or recall. Thank you, Dana

2004 Mitsubishi Galant window probem

your going to have to remove the door panel. remove the screws and you will iencounter plastic pieces call christmas trees these are a pain but the sell a tool for these at an auto parts store for about 10 bucks. disconnect the plug if you have power windows, if you have manual windows there is a clip that holds the handle on the shaft. use a small screwdriver to remove this. now you can remove the panel awy from the door. this will allow access to the window regulater. you said it sounded like something is loose. check to see if the control arm is disconnected from the lower part of the window. hope this helps
