This unit is equipped with ESIV which is an electronic security system that is coded by any cd of the users choice. If the ESIV was on when the unit was un-installed from wherever it was, it will not work. find the units serial #, call Eclipse, IF it has Not been reported stolen, you can get the code reset by Eclipse. I think they charge for this service, however it's worth it. If there is a problem with the unit, it can be repaired by them as well. Most car deck repairs are under $ 150 unless it's really serious. It sounds to me like you're missing a wire. There should be a wire leading to this that sends power to the distributor. If you don't have power to the distributor it won't fire it will just continue to crank over.
It should not have affected anything unless the amp gets too hot due to being bridged or the ground and a power source touched each other which would have sparked and put the some amps in protection mode unless it has a fuseable link then it will blow the fuse such as the 12v battery or the power on wire which is blue and is called the (remote wire).

Have you tried checking the remote wire yet? Because it could very possibly be that. Without a remote wire hooked up, you cannot get any power. Try that and see if it works.
Actually the problem that you have is the power management. Go into Control panel then the power settings. Make sure to turn off system standby. The reason that it is not installed after it comes from sleep is that it is not reenabling. THe computer turns off the component during sleep.
