Try using an ipod or mp3 and hook it up directly to the amp input section-if its lit up and you get sound then youre not getting signal from your deck and youll have to track that problem down at the deck-if you still dont get any sound by connecting directly into the amp inputs then you may want to check all amp settings and be sure that your set up right and if it has external fuses make sure that they are all good and if it still wont give you any sound than take it in and get it checked out-hopefully its just not getting any signal cuz if its the amp then sorry to hear it-but good luck

Need to if I can connect a power acoustik 500w subwoofer to my hometheater system, and if so need wiring diagram

you can do it but that bass cannon will not power the sub well at all. They put out maybe 40 watts RMS. best to find a cheep receiver and do it that way a lot less hassle. better sound. If you dont understand give me a shout.

Will a Lanzar Vibe 286 4000 watt amp push a power acoustik fubr 12 700 rms 1800 max ....

Yes it should do the job. You will need to wire the sub in series and make sure you have a 4ohm load on the amp. It should be right at around 700 watts RMS @ 12-13 volts.

I have power akoustik 12"

If you sub is dual 4 ohm voice coil, you can get a 4000 watt amp (which will give you 1700 watts RMS at 2ohms). The model number is OW-BAMF40001D. Hope this helps.

I have 2 15 inch mofos do i need two poweracoustik 4000D AMPS?

You want an amplifier that is rated for the subwoofers. In your case your subwoofers are rated at 1500 watts rms each, so you will need an amplifier of 1500 watts rms or more for one subwoofer. good luck

Hooking sub up

Hello missywarden,

According to the specifications, the amp is capable of "tri-mode" operation, that is, running normal speakers on the individual channels while also powering a subwoofer in bridged mode.

Your sub needs to be a minimum of 4ohms and should be relatively efficient. I'd look for a sub that has an RMS power range of from about 75 watts up to a maximum of 250 watts.

The sub connects to the leftmost speaker terminal (positive - right channel) and the rightmost speaker terminal (negative - left channel).

It's not going to be a really loud subwoofer. The power is 360 watts RMS which will be shared by the normal speakers and subwoofer.

Hope this helps.

How big of am amp do i need?

Depending on what kind of music you listen to I would say around a 1200 Watt Amp would suffice for what you are saying. Thank you for using Fix Ya! Don't forget to rate the overall answer to your question.

No sub when listening to a cd

you're using the wrong remote output wire. You have it hooked to the power ANTenna wire (blue) which turns off when not using the tuner. You need to use the REM OUT wire (blue w/ white stripe).

Protection Light irritation

If the amplifier goes into protect when there are no speaker wires connected to the amp, the amp is likely defective. The most likely culprit is shorted output transistors. If it's new, return it to the place of purchase for repair/replacement.
