3. Error Code Operational Check

Note: The TV must be in "Shut Down" and not have been switched Off, to perform the Error Code Operational

Check. When the TV is switched Off, the code automatically resets to "12" No Error.



Pressing the front panel "DEVICE" and "MENU" buttons at the same time, and holding for 5 seconds,

activates the Error Code Mode. The LED flashes denoting a two digit Error Code, or indicating no problem

has occured since the last Initalization.



Note: The front panel buttons must be used, NOT those on the Remote Control.



• The number of flashes indicates the value of the MSD (tens digit) of the Error Code.

• The flashing then pauses for approximately 1/2 second.

• The LED then flashes indicating the value of the LSD (ones digit) of the Error Code.

• The Error Code is repeated a total of 5 times.



Example: If the Error Code is "23", the LED will flash two times, pause, and then flash three times.

Problem with room sensor. Room sensor fixed in the evaparator coil. Plz replace the sensor alone.

The F15 error code refers to "Low Current from fan" not drawing enough current or open circuit to fan. Check wiring to fan, check fan motor with Digital Muli-meter for resistance - if open circuit or high resistance - replace fan.

Here are the error codes, and the corresponding problem:
12 = No error detected, check power supply.
32 = Lamp Cover is open.
33 = Air filtercover is open.
34 = Lamp abnormality
36 = Light Engine (DMD or Lamp Fan stopped)
37 = Exhaust or Lamp Ballast Fan stopped
38 = Lamp Temperature High
39 = DMD Temperature High
41 = Short is detected
44 = DVI cablebetween FMT and Engine disconnected
Lamp is first suspect followed by Ballast that drives it.

3) POWER LED lights up red (standby).
Note: If the Lamp will not light after attempting turning on the
power 2 or 3 times, the Lamp, the LCD Power C.B.A. or the
LCD Main C.B.A. may be defective.

Most of the time you'll never hear the CPU fan. If you don't hear the normal fan sounds coming from your computer, it is most likely the power supply cooling fan. Hold you hand at the back of the computer where the power chord plugs in, while the computer is running, and test if you feel air blowing on your hand. If you don't, then replace your power supply. Make sure, when checking for a new PS that you get the correct pin count. Best to order from Dell since proprietary systems usually use proprietary parts and a generic PS won't fit in the opening at the back of the computer (alignment of the plug and the fan with the opening, etc.)

remove the back and lamp (make sure the lamp door is on) turn the tv on and look to see if the fan is running (keep you hand out of the tv when doing this - as the lamp connectors are empty) if the fan does not start - replace lamp - the connector is located under lamp housing connector JA - measure the red wire and ground (any metal part) for 12v at turn on - if 12v replace fan - if no 12v check the power pcb

The picture will start to show up....at what point does it shut off? and do you hear a click when the tv is turning off? Is it the complete tv shutting down, fans and everything that turns off? Do you see any lights on the the front panel "POWER", "STATUS" or "LAMP", what are they doing? If you see a Power, Status or Lamp light after it shuts off the below are what they mean if there is an issue. The ?Power LED Light? blinks/flashes (1/2 sec delay) and then flashes again denoting a two digit Error Code indicating no problem or an error has occured since the last Initalization. i.e. "Power light" blinks 3 times (1/2 second delay) and then blinks 4 times then 1 sec delay and repeats a few times. This would mean "Error 34 - Lamp abnormality". See below for error codes.....
