Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

Bluetooth issues I have never used the bluetooth in my Razr V3M, but was wanting to receive some ringtones from another phone. How do I get it to work? Bluetooth say it is turned on but can't find any devices. When I set the other phone to "find devices", it did not find me either. I have Verizon as my service provider if you need that information. Thank you so much for your help.

I have tried this. It still did not work. I tried putting both phones side by side, back to back, top to top, etc... I tried using the "find me" mode while they used the "find devices" and vice versa. It said I was "discoverable in 60 seconds" but they still could not find me. Similarly, I was unable to find them when roles were reversed. I tried with several different people with varying phones and phone companies. So I will continue to search for an answer. If anyone else has any ideas, please let me know.

Try turning on both of your bluetooth and set it in a disoverable mode and shown to everybody mayb one of the phone is in hidden mode. if everything is set just send and data you want to transfer to your phone and the bluetooth automatically searches active devices... if it cant find any device the probably both phones are not compatible especially of different make...

How can assign a sound as a ringtone?

You need to send the sound that you recorded and saved in your phone to yourself in a PIX (picture) message. No Subjects, Text or Pictures are necessary to have in this message, as only the sound itself is required. Once the message arrives on your phone, choose "Options", then "Save As Ringtone". Once you have saved it in that manner, go to "Get PIX and FLIX", then "My Ringtones". It will be stored as a fully usable ringtone there.

Unable to transfer ringtones

No help needed...after taking it to a tech center - and they said it was a phone issue which couldn't be fixed ( guess they were new hires from flipping burgers? ) I simply did a master clear...phone works fine and I can upload & store my ringtones w/o any issues.

Bluetoothing ringtones

The V3 is deceiving because it has many different software versions. If you power the phone off, and then press and hold the * and # keys while pressing the power button, it should come up with a black screen with white letters telling you the bootloader version. I bet if you compare the two, the bootloader will be different.

There is the V3i, V3a, V3m, V3r, V3re, V3c etc.

I've heard of many of the new razors not being able to use MP3's as ring tones.

Saving Ring Tones

Razrs are not capable of saving anything as a ringtone. Motorola did away with that with the new software versions.

look if the earpiece is compatible with your new phone, usually its a compatibility issue with your equipment.

V3m or nokia 6275?

I would suggest the Motorola RAZR. It is a good phone. On average a good battery will last a couple of days without charge but that's only from experience. I have one just like it. The picture quality is great and I have never had any problems with the bluetooth.
