Do your unit have the good sound driver? If the volume control in your PC can adjust....then you had the good sound driver installed. Connect an audio system in audio input,,,If there has sound coming out. The speaker from your laptop is defective.

When did the problem start? Did it ever work? What operating system are you using?

If the problem occured recently, you might be able to use System Restore to get it working again. Within Windows, click on Start then Run. Type msconfig then click the System Restore Button. Choose a date when the sound worked.

It would help to know if the problem persists, so that a possible hardware glitch can be troubleshot

My audio is not working
Check that your sound is not muted.If it isnt, or isnt showing then go into control panel-> sound devices and check that you have driver installed or is working properly. If there is no audio codec, install it from your motherboard disc.If it isnt working properly, uninstall the sound driver and reboot laptop.Sound drivers should reinstall
