First check if you get power at both ends of cable, i.e. wall socket and the plug that goes into the printer, you'll need a voltmeter to check that.

A problem with epson artisan 810

  1. Turn the printer off, then disconnect the power and the interface cable. Open the cover and check for any torn or jammed paper and remove it.
  2. Reconnect the power cable and turn the printer back on.
  3. Press the Copy button and see if the unit responds.
Note: Also check that the ink cartridges and lids are pushed down fully.

If the problem persists, an unknown printer error has occurred. The printer may require service.

Why can't I turn my canon printer on? I've checked and double checked that all connections are tight. I may be low in one ink cartridge but since I can't turn the machine on I can't...

Hi there,

If the printer is plugged into an AVR or a UPS try plugging it directly to a known good power outlet to make sure that it's not the UPS or AVR that's causing the trouble.

Another thing you can try is to make sure that the power cable is ok. Eventhough it's intact wires from inside the power cable might have melted so try swapping power cables or if you have a power tester check for the continuity of electricity on the power cable.

If both looks good and the printer still does not want to turn on, check if the power light has any sign of life, does it give a blinking amber light or no light from the printer comes out at all?

If there is a blinking light or a steady amber light try to remove all the printer components (inks, cartridges, etc. and put them back in then try turning the printer on)

If it still does not work please provide the model number of the printer as a service might be needed to make sure that the capacitors, IC's and the PC-board of the printer is ok.

P.S don't forget to check the fuses to make sure that they are in good condition.

Hope this helps!

Hi,

I Would recommend performing a partial reset on the printer, so that printer will initialise completly after resetting.

Partial Reset

  • Remove the power cable from back side of the printer while its ON.
  • Press and hold "#" and "3" button, while holding them both insert the power cable and release the button after 10 seconds.
  • If printer turns OFF, press power button to turn it ON.

Pixma 810: Suddenly the printer is dead. Despite power cable is connected with Pixma I can no longer turn the printer on. Is there a fuse anywhere? What is the solution? Best regards Peter Widmer

Hi

First of all please make sure that all the cables from/to the printer are connected properly. Now please use different power socket to make sure that the printer is getting power. If so then we can reset the printer. To reset the printer unplug it from/to the power socket and mains and let it sit without power for more then 10 minutes and then replace all the cables and print a test page. If still the issue is not resolved then you'll need to replace the printer cable. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I was replacing the cartridge when the printer suddenly turned off and does not turn on again

try to check if the power cable has been abruptly disconnected. Also check USB cables that are connected to the HP Printers if they are disconnected. Maybe that is the reason your printer suddenly turns off..

Xerox 8500 not printing

It sounds like you need to check your addressing. Sounds to me like your IP address reset back to default.
You need to go into the network settings and check your IP address and make sure it is set to manual and not auto.
I believe your printer did a reset and your address is wrong.

Mp530 printer, no power , no lights or beeps

This just happened to our Canon MP530, which was about 10 months old. I called Canon support and they said they'd send a new power cord to us. Then, if that didn't work, they said they'd replace the unit. Well, turns out we found a replacement power cord ourselves and tried it - amazingly, the printer now works. So if this happens to your unit, try replacing the power cord. It may just fix the problem.
