1.Next time do not use caps lock. 2.Use better grammar next time. I use Spell checker in FF.
Alright, first your router does not make the laptop wireless, the wireless card inside your laptop makes its wireless. Secondly if you do not have a wireless card you need a "Wireless USB Adapter" google that.
Thirdly, tell me what your doing in steps. For example: Step 1-I go to search for wireless networks Step 2- I try to connect to my network.
Please try saying it in steps so we all can understand where your getting the error, and how to fix it.

You will need to check the settings of the router . I think the router is not functioning properly. Reset the router and reconfigure the router. Once you reset the router, it will come back to the factory default settings. and you will need to reconfigure it. Make sure that the modem is connected to the Internet OR WAN port on the router. Click here for more information about the router setup
Some systems come with a Wireless Radio switch to disable the wireless
radios. The wireless radio switch is usually located on the front side
of the machine. If you are having difficulties with wireless
connections, make sure the Wireless Radio switch is set in the On

It could be because of a few issues. The signal from the wireless router could be too weak, try moving closer to the source of your wireless access. The wireless adapter could be faulty. There could be something in the area that is interfering with the signal (another device running on a similar frequency).
Since you forgot the security ket for the wireless network you need to access the router setup page using the a computer that is working fine with the router,
On the internet exploreer address bar of the working computer type in 192.168.1.1 , then that should be asking you for a username and password, just leave the username blank and password is admin. If tha admin password didn't work try typing your commonly use password.
If you're already on the setup page of the router, Just go to wireless tab then there's a wireless security sub tab there where you can find the security key that you need...
Sounds like the configuration on the router isn't set up properly.
- Make sure that you DHCP server is on.
- Make sure that uPnP is enabled.
- If your having connectivity issues (keeps disconnecting) maybe you should choose to put your MTU to 1460 rather than the default 1500
- Try to ping the address that your laptop is connected to from the router (is there is a error, it's a configuration problem)
- Maybe you need to edit the NAT and port forward your http ports
For more help on port forwarding, I suggest going to www.portforward.com and choosing your router...They have a step by step process there to help you out.
