Question about Mitsubishi WS-55513 55" Rear Projection HDTV
The blue projection lamp is not aligned with the other two colors. When "WORDS" are on the screen, a blue "shadow" appears under the words. Blue shadows also appear under any light colored objects on the screen. There is also a blue curved line appearing at the top of the screen.

This sounds like your convergence correction amplifiers have malfunctioned. These Integrated Circuits often burn out after a few years (STK392-110) they can be replaced with a higher version (STK392-150) However it is important to have the biasing circuitry checked to make sure nothing has burnt out as a result of the ICs malfunctioning. If you have a background in electronics you can repair this problem with very little effort, however if you do not have a background in electronics, I would suggest that you have your TV serviced by a qualified TV technician. I hope this helps, Thank you, Shuttle83

Redo crosshairs. If they don't move, replace the conv ICs.

The problem is the convergence circuit.
Mitsubishi used two different types of convergence IC's in this series. The first is a pair of STK-392-570, the second is a single STK393-110. The only way to fix the problem is to replace the appropriate IC'S. In some cases the problem may appear to be intermitent or loose solder connections. Save yourself the anguish and replace the IC'S.
Getting the PowerSupply/ Convergence board
out to do this is tricky and I recommend a professional to do it. Hidden screws on the front of the heat-sink make it difficult to take out and you can break the board easily trying to force it.

There is no "reset" as the set has in the customer and tech menus ways to attempt to manually adjust this.
under convergence in the customer menu select advanced and follow the instructions on the screen.
If Red or Blue or Green are skewed and will not adjust it means one of the two STK-394-250 CONVERGENCE chips this set uses is bad.
Depending on where you buy them they will range in price from about 12 dollars each to nearly 35 dollars each.
Let me know what you find; this may or may not be a do it yourself repair as some real expertise is required to correctly get at and replace the chips.
