Question about Gateway FPD2275W LCD Monitor

Can not hear dial tone or anyone on other line

When calling out there is no dial tone, but the phone is connecting to the individual I called . Once the party answers the phone I cant hear he/she talking.

Your problem is not about the monitor,but i'm sure speaker in the phone is defective.try to replace it with a new one.

How to do conference call

Depends on the phone system or service you are using. On a regular land-line you can do a 3-way call (if you have this option available to you through your service provider). To do this:
1. Call the first party.
2. Once the caller is on the line ask them to hold while to connect with the 2nd party.
3. Flash to dial tone. There may be a flash button on your phone or you may just press talk. In any case you should hear a quick "beep..beep..beep" then dial tone.
4. Now you can dial the 2nd party and click the flash (or talk) again to return to the 1st party and you both should hear the phone ringing for the 2nd party.

There's hundreds, if not thousands, of different phones, phone systems, and provider combinations that have different procedures for making conference calls. This is probably the most basic way. Hope this helps

How does one forward incomming calls on a uniden 2.4ghz cordless phone?

Cordless phones can not 'forward' a call to an outside line.
Forwarding must be controlled by the ATT, Verizon, or landline provider.
Please contact your provider to determine if you have call forwarding feature built into your service package.

Then, follow the instructions of your landline phone provider.
Here is the instructions for Verizon:

Activating Call Forwarding
You can activate Call Forwarding whenever you want your calls to be sent to another phone, including a mobile phone. Once activated, all your calls will be sent to the forwarding number you request. Each time a call is forwarded, you will hear one short reminder tone on your home phone, but you will not be able to answer the call from your home number.

Lift your telephone's receiver and listen for a dial tone.
Press .
In some areas you must use
Dial 1172 on rotary or pulse-dialing phones.
When you hear the tone, set or change the Call Forwarding number by dialing the telephone number where you want your calls transferred.
You will hear the number you entered ring. When the number is answered, Call Forwarding is activated.
If the call is not answered or the line is busy, hang up and call the number again within two minutes.
You will hear two short tones telling you that Call Forwarding is activated.
Hang up the receiver.

the phones earpiece which you can use to hear the caller calling you is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Need procedure for dialing 3-way or conference calls

while on a call, press the talk button
you will now hear a dial tone or just silence
dial the number to the 3rd party at this time.
after the 3rd party has answered press the menu button and select 3way/ conference.

these direction must be followed as closely as possible

How do I do conf call on this phone?

CONFERENCE CALL ON PANASONIC 7630. First select a C.O. LINE, line 1,2,3 ect. Then make your first call. Once you are connected with your first call tell that person to hold and press the CONF button then dial the next persons phone number, once you are connected with that person press CONF once again and you will hear a BEEP/CALL TONE indicating that you have connected with both parties. Deactivating Call Forwarding

Turn Call Forwarding off when you want to receive calls on your home phone.

In some areas you must use 73#
Dial 1173 on rotary or pulse-dialing phones.

3. Listen for two short tones.
Call Forwarding is now off and you will receive your calls at your home number.

Uniden TCX805 Cordless "loses" dial tone

Sounds like the switching mechanism that creates the link is stuck. When you answer your phone, you allow the voltage to complete it's path and you either answer the phone or you hear dial tone. If that switch is stuck closed, even though you hung up the phone, the connection is still alive. When you try to pick the phone back up later, the connection is still closed, but your phone has already passed it's "if you would like to make a call" message and you hear no dial tone. Unplugging the power to the phone resets this switch and all is good again.....that is until it gets stuck again. I have seen this problem with phones after a near lightening strike at the house. Sounds like you need to get a new phone as I don't think this is repairable.

CONFERENCE CALLING

CONFERENCE With call in progress, ask party to hold.
Press Transfer, receive interrupted dial tone.
Dial desired number
After call is answered, press Conf. Conf LED lights.
Three-way conference is established.
If one party hangs up, other two remain connected. Conf light goes out.
