SOURCE: I have a Lanark double

fill the tub with water and then turn the pump on. Get under the tub next to the pump and loosen the union on the discharge of the pump until some water starts coming out. If you have an air lock this will relief that and the pump should start pushing water to the jets.

It sounds like the power surge coming back on damaged the controller. Try disconnecting the mains supply overnight to fully dissipate all voltage in the electronics. It that doesn't work, this is the maker, reach out for support.

Morgan spa diagrams

The water jets in most spas are adjustable so you can turn the water flow down to just a trickle if you want to.
You don't take current spa jets out of the spa. They are held in place by a couple of tabs. Through the years the chlorine/bromine will deteriorate those tabs and the spa jets will start "popping" out when the jets get turned on.
If you pull the jet insert out the socket they are in, you will ruin the jet insert and it will need to be replaced.

I want to clean the jets in my tub they look mouldy

Cleaning your Tub
There are several options for cleaning the piping on a jetted bathtub.
The reason you have a residue on the bathtub surface when you are done bathing is because there is bacteria built up in the plumbing of the jetted tub. In order to remove that and reduce the amount of "yucky stuff" coming into the tub when using it, we recommend a regular usage of a jet cleaning product about once every couple of months
Here is a link at the bottom to the cleaning products I can find right now. There may be others out there that I am not aware of but I do know these products work well in all jetted bathtubs.

Lanark spa bath

Not really sure but it sounds like there is a sensor that may not be reading properly preventing the pump to turn on.

Stale water odour when jets havent been used on massage type spa

There are several cleaning methods on the internet. I would contact the maker of the tub and see if they have a cleaning agent. I know that Jacuzzi and Aquatic industries have a cleaner that works rather well. I have seen one on the net that uses 2 teaspoons of powder dishwasher soap mixed with bleach. I have not tried this one so don't know how well it works. The ones from the tub companies are not cheap, but if you want something that is going to do the job, spend the money.

Whirlpool tub, jets come on and won't shut off. No water in tub.

Is it a jetted tub, or a air bath tub with holes or jets in the floor? If it has holes or jets in the floor, the control box is bad and needs replaced. If it is a jetted tub, there may be a water level sensor, if so the sensor may be bad causing the tub to turn on.

Difference tubs and air baths

whirlpool tub has jets that circulate the water, where an air bath uses bubbles that rise gently from the bottom of the tub. Whirlpools are typically used for therapy, air baths are used for a much gentler experience. Air baths can be used with aromatherapy/essential oils. Both offer a spa-like experience.
