what about the remote power wire from the radio? 2 channel or four channel(amps)? are the speakers running parallel or in series? are you using a mono block? or an EQ?

amps and wiring kits are very optimistic on the output. If you want proper wire, buy some welding cable "0" or "00" guage. That solves the power delivery. Put a 1 Farrad (or more) capacitor near the amp, that solves the surge power issue. Make sure the box is suitable for the subs. Lastly I'd say do some research and find the right amp that can deliver the clean, huge current required to move some serious air!

Are your subwoofers wired in series or parallel? Check your connections, if everything is ok, the problem is with your amplifier. It might have a blown capacitor inside or its not really a 1ohm stable amplifier. Have it repaired if thats the case.

The best thing to do would be to get an amp installation kit, at an auto stereo store or Wal-Mart automotive department. It will have the wiring and connects that you'll need to wire everything up.

if it says that it is a grounding wire then ground it

Hey well your gonna need to give more info. is the sub dual 2ohm dual 4ohm. if you have a dual 2 ohm you wire one + to one- (like a jumper wire)and then your other +.- go to your amp as 4ohms, if you have a dual 4ohm model and your amp can handel 2ohm stereo then wire your +to+ to +on the amp and the same for your -. it will bring a 4ohms to 2 ohms by connecting pos. to pos. and neg.to neg. then to your amp.

Power amps must be connected + battery wire to the amp +b terminal with a gauge 8 or bigger depending on the power rating, - ground to the car chassis as short as possible,connect cords from head unit to power amp with good groundings, and remember to connect the speakers and the remote trigger from head unit to turn the amp on.

Kicker lists the RMS power handling range of the CVR's from 100-500 watts, with a peak power capability of 1000 watts. There are lots of monoblock amps within that range. It just depends on how loud you want them and how much you want to spend.

In the low range, an amp like the Alpine MRP-M500 will deliver 250 watts to each sub at 2 ohms. And it only costs $179. Currently, the MRP-M500 is out of stock at Crutchfield. I just bought the last one. So my 2nd recommendation would be the Sony XM-1S, which has the same power rating and according to Crutchfield is no slouch either. It's also $179. I really like the Sony, too. It has a small footprint that makes it easy to find a convenient mounting location. Both the Sony and the Alpine are CEA-2006 compliant, so you can be sure that the manufacturer provided specifications are not overrated. Assuming that your vehicle electrical system can deliver the current, both the Sony and the Alpine will deliver an honest 250 watts RMS to each of your Kickers. And 250 watts will make them kick pretty darned good.

In the medium power range, consider either the JL Audio G Series G1700 which delivers 700 watts into 2 ohms. It costs $419 at Crutchfield. Or perhaps the Kicker 08ZX750 with 750 watts at a cost of $399.

To push the CVR's really hard, close to their 500 watt RMS maximum power range, look for an amp that delivers 1000 watts. In this range, you will definitely some heavy-duty wiring, electrical system upgrades, perhaps a 2 farad capacitor, and be ready to spend at least $600 on the amp. Your best combination of power and price would be another Alpine, the PDX-1.1000M, at $799. If you buy one from Crutchfield, they will throw in a 4-gauge amp wiring kit. u can also check where you pluged the rca cables into the head unit make sure there in the right spot

first check that the subwoofer function on the actual head unit is turned up,second check that the gain on the amp is at bout half way then check that it is on a lp (low pass setting)
then check that the boost on the amp is turned up.
