Sceptre 32 inch, Blue LED light comes on but no picture or sound.

The blue light stays on and the TV does not respond to the remote or even when I push the buttons manually on the TV set. I have the unplug from the power and then plug it back in over and over again. After doing this about 20-30 times I get a picture.

I just got a 42" komodo by Sceptre, same problem, except "SCEPTRE" showed on the screen. I was sent a USB key program to insert in the service slot in the back and it reflashes the bios. This is old news for you but maybe new for someone?

Power supply is the place to look, look for bulging on top of the capacitors in the secondary side of the main power supply.

Hi, have 2 sceptre 32 inch led tv, both same problem, no picture no sound, just red to blue light. do you have part that can fix this problem model, #x322bv and x325bv

I can't find a manual for either of these sets so I'm not able to be specific with parts but a set with no sound or picture is generally caused by either a bad main board or power supply. You can find out what board is bad by checking the PSON..stands for power switch on , the voltage should change when you push the on button and stay that way but going by the fact you get a blue light I'm guessing that is working and you have a bad power supply, another test would be with the set on and the light blue test the various power supply voltages and see if any are missing or incorrect, the values should be on the legends next to the connectors, they will say for example pin 1 ground pin 2...12 volts...pin 3... ground...pin 4.5 6...5 volts ect....Good luck!!

Sceptre X42GV-Komodo 42 in. LCD TV no picture no sound but splash screen displays good

Fault with its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

SCEPTRE X322BV, HDTV BLUE LED COMES ON WHEN POWERING UP, BUT NO PICTURE OR SOUND

I have the X322BV-HD and with no warning had the same thing happen. I"ve scoured the net and found very little--just as here on this site. I just got off the phone with a tech support rep at sceptor and got the following information:

HOW TO DO A FACTORY RESET:
  1. (Tech said this will often work even though you won't see anything on the screen--as long as the blue light is still on!) On the remote, press [MENU] and then 3 - 6 - 9 - 8 (If it's accepted, the TV will turn itself off.)
  2. Wait 10 seconds.
  3. Turn the TV back on and it will be back to all factory defaults.
That didn't work for me. But the second option, a Power Cycle Reset did.

POWER CYCLE RESET:
  1. Unplug the power cord and wait 10-15 minutes (extremely important, I used a timer set for 16 minutes just to be sure).
  2. While it is still unplugged, press and hold the [POWER] button for at LEAST 30 SECONDS - DO NOT RELEASE!
  3. While continuing to hold the [POWER] button, plug the TV back in.

The second option worked for me and it's back on working just fine. Hope this helps!

No sound, no picture

If by catscan sound you mean a high pitched whine? That usually indicates that the power section has had a part fail. The capacitors on the main board will cause this. You can take it to the shop but get an estimate first as the repair cost can be close to replacement as the prices keep falling. The repair parts are pretty cheap but the labour isn't.

32" Sceptre LCD No POwer

0939a31.jpg This is the same problem I am having with my Speptre X20WG Naga Monitor.
The power LEDS are usually red in standby and blue in opp; but now they just go purple and nothing happens..no sound no picture. I called tech support and no dice they just wanted my money, but I think all we might have to do is change a fuse on the main pcb! As you can see the white arrow isnt really pointing to anything specific! I think the fuse is the lt blue component, but am not sure. This is all I can offer! If you gat any good tips or if anyone else finds a fix please email me [email protected].
Thanks! and good luck m007!
