I am seeing double on my tv how can i fix this problem.thanks

Double picture (ghosting) is caused by the convergence circuit failing or a bad antenna connection.

Most likely this set has bad convergence amp ic's and some open resistors. This can be a very tricky repair. Check:
resistors RK42, RK46,
RK50, RK54, RK58, RK62
Output STKs IK04, IK05.

there is an adjustment called convergence.the convergence setup generates a crosshatch.you need to adjust the red deflection.this is a common thing when the t.v gets moved.the crosshatch or convergence button is mostly on the front control panel.consult the manual for where it is.

Replace both of your STKs big black ics If they are STK392-110s upgrade to 180s better ics Electronix has them call 1-800-223-3205

it is just a convergence problem which makes the image look doubled.it can be repaired by any good local tv technician for approx 75 to 80 dollars.nothing much to worry.

1st step, replace battery of remote, no result, 2nd step, check / replace Remote Sensor of TV.

you will need to replace both convergence ICs they are STK392-110 you will also need six resistors (2) 2.2 ohm 1watt
(2) 1.5 ohm 1watt, (1) 3.3 ohm 1watt and (1) 1.8 ohm 1watt.
