Did you upgrade to Windows 7 or did the computer come with it? If the computer came with it and it stopped working try running the restore disk and restore to factory default. If you upgraded to Windows 7 your stuck because not all vendors provide drivers that support that version of Windows. You can try running the device in compatability mode but that really doesn't work that often. Check with the device manufacturer for updated drivers.
Let us refer the following methods:
Method 1:
I would suggest you to run "Hardware and Devices" troubleshooter to diagnose the exact issue.
Follow these steps to run the troubleshooter:
a. Press "Windows key + W".
b. Type "Troubleshooting" without quotes in the Search box and hit enter.
c. Select "Hardware and Sound" from the Troubleshooter Window.
d. Select "Hardware and Devices" under Devices option.
e. Follow the On Screen instructions.
Method 2: Un-install and re-install touch pad drivers from the manufacturer's website and see if that helps:
Step 1: un-install the drivers:
Follow these steps:
a. Press "Windows Key + W" from the keyboard.
b. Type "device Manager" without quotes in the search box and hit enter.
c. Right click on the touchpad drivers and select "Uninstall".
d. Restart the computer once it is uninstalled.
Step 2: Download the latest touchpad drivers for "Windows 8" from manufacturer's website.
