I have an Apex model 4088 LCD flat Panel tv, The picture is perfect but i have almost no sound,

Volume set to 90 in a quiet room with your ear to the speaker and you can hear it. any ideas as to what is wrong?

It sounds that the audio output section circuit has the fault. Contact any service technician. Check its speaker/s too. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts.

I have been looking for a remote that would work correctly after having to return several remotes I purhcased an AUVIO and it finally worked for the Apex LC4088. You can get this remote at Radio Shack. Code that worked was 438.

The tv Tuner board,that where the coalax broscast signal come in is dead.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish Tuner signal board for the replacement.

Apex LD4088 no picture

The inverter is the usual suspect with that symptom. It may be hard to find a replacement inverter for an apex model. But you might be able to get one from www.tvrepairworld.com

Hello
If sound is OK and there is no picture, means the video processing section of your Apex TV is faulty. It may be either to the absens of voltage or a damaged processor IC inside the circuit board. Being a new set, it will have guarantee. If it is in guarantee period, get it service by the Authorised Service Center for Apex. The processor board costs some more. Do not open it, if guarantee prevails even now. Opening the set for any purpose will void the guarantee. OK.

Unplug TV power 30 seconds and replug, turn tv on, worked for me.

Apex did not make the codes available for comcast. You can return your tv and buy other make or buy a Apex universal remote RCU-200 that will operate comcast box and apex tv

I have no audio

Hello sir, Hi, No Audio on your TV can be user error or Hardware error, for the user error, make sure that the TV is not set to low volume or the setup is on MUTE, for the hardware error, Place your ear close to the speakers, then set the volume up and down several times, you should hear a soft hum that goes up or down, (make sure that the room is quiet.) The soft hum means that the power amplifier is working properly. so the problem may be on the main board where the sound is being produce before amplification, usually the sound IF section. NOW if you did not hear the soft hum, problem with the amplifier and speakers, A physical checking for open wire contact or loose connection is needed.
