Konica Minolta DiMAGE G530

I have blurred lines, white out or completely black areas on my pictures. If I hit the zoom twice, my pictures come out clear. I tried to find a place to fix it and was told Minolta went under in Canada and no one could service the camera. I was told it was the CCD unit that needs to be replaced. Any ideas on how and where I could get this fixed? The camera will be two years old this Christmas and was purchased at a Costco. I love the camera, use it almost daily and hate to be without it.

I just found out that Sony has taken over for repairs of Minolta since they went under. Now I have to contact them in Toronto.

i have the same problem. if i don't hit the zoom-in button three times (twice used to be enough, but not any more), then the picture has irritating horizontal, blurry lines on it, or it's completely white. is there any way to fix it by disassembling it?

No place to fix this- you will be best placed to dump it and buy another camera.
Any place that says it cam  will not get parts and charge as much to do nothing as buying the next camera

Well this is true and by all means contact Sony.
But when you hear the price I think you will find my comment stands.

Konica Minolta Dimage E50 suddenly over expose. Indoor at night, the picture looks almost normal. Daytime the wall will be too white. Outdoor the picture is white out.

Hi!
The shutter cable inside the lens has broken - a common problem with the E50. The cable moves as the lens zoom so it brakes at some point and then camera isn't able to control the shutter - control the amount of light taken. If you look closely at the over exposed pictures, you will notice horizontal lines accross them.
The shutter or whole lens unit has to be changed. It is quite expensive, I believe it's not worth it. You can contact Sony / Konica - Minolta service center.
I work in a Sony / Konica - Minolta service center and have repaired a lot of these.

Hope this helps!

Konica Minolta Dimage Damage

I had the same problem with mine, a minor fall cracked this, I disassembled the unit and one of the springs that hold the main sensor was broken, thus the sensor vibrates instead of "floating" when the camera is turned on. There are two possible solutions: The first is to get a faulty Z6 from eBay and get the parts (the main sensor assembly) and have it replaced. (If you are not comfortable working with 1mm screws, you'd better go with the parts to a camera repair shop and explain them the problem. The second solution is un-elegant but useful: If you disconnect the anti-shake circuit from the main board you won't have the annoying vibration at start, and the focus will work properly. I've done this and I am happy with the result (I rarely used the anti-shake feature, so I don't miss it). For reference, the anti-shake circuit ribbon is the one entering the mainboard just under the left side of the screen.

Ejoy.....
PS. if you have dark spots, chech that the sensor assembly is not too out of place or that a piece of the broken assembly is on the way. Realign it in place (and please don't touch it). and asseble tha camera back
