I doubt you'll be able to find enough diagrams online for a car that old. The diagrams in most repair books are for just the engine and lights. You may have to look for a complete factory shop manual on ebay to get what you need.

To find your user's manual just in case you've lost it. You can visit http://tv.rca.com/en-us/productdownloads.html and select your tv's size and model number. In case you don't know the tv's size I'll give an example. On the back of the tv you can find the model number. Example mine is R52WH74, that means that my projection screen is a 52 inch. Write back if this isn't what you're asking for.

Normallly, if the picture size button on the remote for the television does not achieve the desired affect, then, a cable box or a satelite box is where the change needs to be made.
For example:
A Motorola Cable box needs to be set up to go to a wide screen or zoom when an analog signal is detected.
Some Dish Network boxes have Size buttons on their remotes and also in their main menu.
It's difficult to determine the repair without knowing the types of the peripherals.
