I have an older (standard tube) rca tv, probably 25'' screen. The screen went red/pink but there is still sound. Any simple fix for this?
If your able to take the back off and have experience in soldering then you can look on the CRT board on the picture tube for cold solder joints, it should be quite visible. There are 3 transistors that look identical so I would look those over closely. Those are your Red, Green and Blue Video outputs. If you choose not to and want to take it in to a service center try and find one with Free Est. Notice on your screen if you have diagonal lines, if you don't, that's a good sign. Let me know what you decide!

When you say "cold" solder joints do you mean that the joints have cracked or severed? And if I find one that is, do I just solder it back to the board?
Ok, I got the back off and looked at the board next to the tube. I looked at every solder joint and they all appeared to be intact. I did find the model number though...it is a RCA F25422. Let me know if you have any more thoughts.
