Samsung side-by-side refrigerator RS265TDRS ice bin stuck

Depending on how you "defrosted the actual ice maker", i.e., if you used a hair dryer, you might have deformed the plastic. Unfortunately this bin needs to be air tight, which may be why it is misaligned now. You might need to call for Refrigerator Repair Service near you to see what is happening, and if you may have made it worse.

Frost inside the ice dispenser chute and the ice cube dispenser seems "stuck" on crush mode instead of dispensing full cubes.

The stuck on crush mode , is caused by ice frosted in front of the ice bin , blocking the ice bin flap from opening , when calling for cube ice . Removing the ice bin and cleaning or defrosting completely , will solve this problem , AFTER , resolving the frost in shoot problem .
Remove the top freezer door hinge cover , and disconnect the plug there . This removes any power , going to the door . If no plug there , remove the bottom kick plate , by removing the screw on each side in the front , and disconnect the receptical from the wires comming from the bottom of the freezer door .
Remove the dispensor control board , by prying , or pulling , from the bottom of the board . Disconnect the 3 plugs to the board . You should now see the white dispensor cover , being held on by 4 screws . Remove these screws , and slide the cover out .
In the top right , inside the dispensor area , you will see a solenoid with a plunger , with the door flap arc , inserted into the plunger . Usually rust inhibits the movement of the plunger , keeping the door flap from closing completely .
Remove the 3 screws holding the plunger and solenoid ( part number WR62X10055 ) and replace . Cleaning will not help , due to rust will return .

Ice maker

There is something called a crusher control rod located on your icemaker bin. If you pull the bin out, you'll see it protruding from the backside of the bin. That rod inserts into the solenoid, which looks like a hole usually when looking in the freezer with the ice bin removed, it's toward the left side behind the bin.

This solenoid and rod work together to give you either crushed or cubed ice. See if the solenoid is stuck or iced up. You should be able to remove the ice and push it up and down to break it free.
