You can't use ordinary transparencies if you use ink... find a special transparency that is sold by Espon, but that's rare to find now... only Laser printers can print color or black on ordinary transparency

How to disactivate or bypass the OHP sensor on the phaser for semi opaque paper (calc paper)?

Hi Rich,
Thank you for your lengthy and informative question that does help.
My first thoughts:
Did you try and tell the driver what particular type of paper you wanted to print on such as none Xerox recommended.
A thought just occurred if you were wanting to print transparencies then the printer would have to print strong colours at 100% because once you place the image on a OHP the image would look really washed out.
All the Xerox printers I've ever worked on don't have sensors that look at the opaqueness of the media, they do however have transparency sensors because once the edge of the paper has been detected a jam could occur, so lever type sensors are used to actually feel the media.
Good luck.

What is the difference between tray 1 and tray 2 and how to choose between them?

Tray one is usually set up as a multi-use tray. It provide a straighter paper path through the printer and is ideal for printing on thicker paper such as card stock, labels or transparencies. Tray 2 is for standard paper. The printer will usually default to tray one when paper is loaded. If not you can select it after you hit print, properties and select tray.

My epson c2000 printer have a "service req e033"

Because the Epson AcuLaser Color 2000 was made for Latin America, there's not much information that I can give you concerning your Service Error Condition. All I can tell you is that the Service Request error # E033 is an Engine Related Service Call Error Message for OHP Detection Sensor Malfunction [abnormal condition]. Check to see if the windows on the OHP sensor are dirty and clean OHP sensor window and the OHP sensor reflective window. I'm sorry, but I can't even tell you where the OHP sensor is located, or anything else about it. If you cannot figure it out using your Owners Manual/Users Manual, you can always e-mail Epson Technical Support for possible help or advice, at epson.com

Xerox phaser 7400DN jabs at fuser

The printer trays accommodate most sizes and types of paper, transparencies, or other
specialty media. Follow these guidelines when loading paper and media in the trays:
- Envelopes, labels, and glossy paper can be printed from Tray 1 (MPT) only.
- Transparencies and custom size paper can be printed from Tray 1 (MPT) and Tray 2.
- Fan paper, transparencies, and labels prior to loading them in the tray.
- Use only paper envelopes. All envelopes should be printed single-sided only. Some
wrinkling and embossing may occur when printing envelopes.
- Do not overload the paper trays.
- Adjust the paper guides to fit the paper size.
- If excessive jams occur, use paper or other media from a new package.

Can I print on transparencies with my canon mp150 ? If so, what settings/icc do I use?

Yes, but they need to be specially made ink jet transparencies such as this:

Amazon Inkjet Transparencies

Canon recommends their own CF-102 transparency sheets. Set paper thickness lever to the Left and the Media Type to Transparency.

See page 17 of the manual for a list of all Canon specialty papers. Here is a link to the manual:

MP150 Manual

Thanks for using Fixya.

Use this item to configures the fuser mode associated
with each media type.
Change the fuser mode only if you are experiencing
problems printing on certain types of media. After you
select a type of paper, you can select a fuser mode
that is available for that type. The available selections
might include some or all of the following modes:
NORMAL: Used for most types of paper.
HIGH 1: Used for rough paper.
LOW: Used for transparencies.
HIGH 2: Used for paper that has a special or rough
finish.
The default fuser mode is NORMAL for all print media
types except transparencies (LOW), and rough paper
(HIGH 1).
CAUTION
Do not change the fuser mode for transparencies.
Failure to use the LOW setting while printing
transparencies can result in permanent damage to
the printer and fuser. Always select Transparencies
as the Type in the printer driver and set the tray type
at the printer control panel to TRANSPARENCY.
When selected, RESTORE MODES resets the fuser mode
for each media type back to its default setting.
Hope this helps

Manual does not mention Transparencies.
Manual states that It will print T-shirt transfers:

T-Shirt Transfers TR-301
This paper is used to create iron-on transfers. The image is printed inverted.
Paper Support Load Limit: 1 sheet
Paper Output Tray Load Limit:
We recommend that you remove the previously printed sheet from the Paper Output Tray before continuously printing to avoid blurs and discoloration.
Paper Thickness Lever: Right
Media Type:
Printer Driver Setting: T-Shirt Transfers

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

HP 3600dn Duplexing Issue

Manual 2-sided printing. Most of the supported media sizes and types listed for printing from tray 1 can be manually duplexed. Do not use the 2–sided printing feature on transparencies, envelopes, or labels.

I found this note in the 3600 service manual. Maybe it will help.
