The low voltage power supply is located in the bottom right side of the machine. Remove the right side cover and you will see it at the bottom of the machine. It is the full length of the unit. All you can do is check the fuse but its unlikely to be at fault unless there was a power surge at some time. If the PSU has blown then the cost of a new one and fitting will be more than half the value of the whole machine.

Error 990 refers to the toner capture sensor unit, that black knob looking thing on the toner cartridge itself. I'm betting the error popped up right after changing the toner cartridge?..... therefore, it's a defective toner cartridge.

The counters reset when you install the new drums. Did you purchase Oki drums or were they after market drums..that could be the problem.

Most of the OKI printers have a fuse installed in the drum to do the reset. If you google the drum reset kit you can find the drum kits and fuses.

Put Stop/reset 4 times orange => reset waste ink.
Put stop/reset 8 times orange => set level ink.

It usually resets automatically when you replace the drum/toner units. Are you trying to get it to reset before it's supposed to? I don't know of any way you can do that.

1. Turn off the printer.
2. Hold down the SHIFT and LF buttons, and at the same time turn the printer back on.
3. Release the buttons.
4. The printer should be reset to the default settings now.
