I just purshased a lexmart pro 705..How do you install the ink???please help

Replacing ink cartridges

Make sure you have a new ink cartridge or cartridges before you begin. You must install new cartridges immediately

after removing the old ones or the ink remaining in the printhead nozzles may dry out.

1 Turn on your printer.

2 Open the printer.

Note: The printhead moves to the cartridge installation position.

3 Press the release tab, and then remove the used ink cartridge or cartridges.

4 Install each ink cartridge. Use two hands to install the black cartridge.

Note: Install the new ink cartridges immediately after removing the protective cap to avoid exposing the ink to air.
5 Close the printer.

The setup guide is on theCD you received with the printer.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

I bought a new ink cartridge, but cannot find my manual. How do you change the cartridge???

Changing an HP Ink Cartridge
  • 1

Open the lid of the printer. Depending on the model, there will be two cartridges on the right, one for black and one for color.

  • 2

Find the cartridge that is running low on ink. The black cartridge will be in black, the color cartridge will have a patch of color (usually green) on it.

  • 3

Pull down on the black clamp that is holding the cartridge in place and slide out the used cartridge.

  • 4

Open the package of the new ink cartridge. Remove the protective tape and slide the new cartridge into the printer.

  • 5

Snap the black protective case back into place and close the lid.

Don't know how to install ink

    Installing print cartridges
1 Open the printer, and then press down on the cartridge carrier levers.
2 Remove the used print cartridge or cartridges.
3 If you are installing new print cartridges, remove the tape from the back and bottom of the color cartridge, insert the cartridge in the right carrier, and then close the color cartridge carrier lid.

Warning—Potential Damage: Do not touch the gold contact area on the back or the metal nozzles on the bottom of the cartridge.

4 If a black cartridge is included in the box contents, remove the tape from the back and bottom of the black cartridge, insert the cartridge in the left carrier, and then close the black cartridge carrier lid.

5 Close the printer, making sure to keep your hands out from underneath the scanner unit.

    Removing a used print cartridge

1 Make sure the printer is on.
    2 Lift the scanner unit.
The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position, unless the printer is busy.
3 Press down on the cartridge carrier latch to raise the cartridge carrier lid.
4 Remove the used print cartridge.

Note: If you are removing both cartridges, repeat step 3 and step 4 for the second cartridge.

Installed new cartridges; keep getting error message

I'd say your using dodgy aftermarket or non HP cartridges, you could put your old ones in and see if message goes away, if having problem when using with Original HP cartridges post back and I'll did deeper for you.

I dont work for HP, I do know printers :-)
