I bought an unlocked SGH-X80, however when i try to send a pic to another phone it says 'Service Unavailable'. However, i do have multimedia service. Is there something else that needs to be unlocked? Btw, my service provider is AT&T.
If you have GPRS activated on your phone, make sure that your phone has got the settings to run it. Try going to the Internet Options of your phone. If you are not able to find any, try contacting AT&T Customer Care and first ask them if your phone is supported. Then, if your phone is supported, tell them to send the settings. After they have sent you the settings for the GPRS service, you will get an SMS saying GPRS settings or the likes. Do the needful and you should then have a working GPRS connection on your phone.
Also, the person you are sending the MMS to, should have GPRS activated on that phone.

I think your mobile is not unlocked properly. Choose a reliable service to unlock otherwise you'll have to come across problems like this and spend lot more money to solve the issue. A good source to unlock your Samsung sgh-x830 is Mobile-Unlocker.com which unlocks mobiles using codes. Unlocking using codes is the simplest method to unlock mobiles. Visit the website to get the unlock code.
Hi if you contact your service provider and tell them your internet isnt working they should send you the setting via a text message this should update your phone and let you send mms messages i had this problem myself when i changed service provider.
Dont tell them you just brought a phone just tell them your internet dont work they can send text messeage and if this dont work they can talk you through the setting manually.
The phone must have been on a different network and will still have these settings stored in the phone.
Also if you go onto your service providers website they sometimes have a section where you can select to have the settings sent to your phone give this a try first.
They will send text message if you ring them this will update the phone automaticall.
Let me know how you get on ok if you are still stuck let me know

You did wrong step my friend, if your phone locked by sim card you need puk code to unlock samsung sgh-x830 sim lock pin. This puk code is unique and you only can get that from your network provider, that's what is going to be happened if you just insert any puk code from internet to unlock samsung sim card. Now the only option that you have is call your network provider and explain to them your condition, i hope your sim card can be unlocked otherwise you must change new sim card.
You will need to take the phone to a mobile service center and have them unlock it for you or try online at mobile2mobile.net or unockitnow.com....this process takes about 12-24hrs to complete and the solution will be emailed to you.
Are you using the original carrier or is this an unlocked phone?
If the phoone is unlocked you will need DOTAC settings from your carrioer for it to work properly.
YOu also may want to check your connection to the mobile internet. Pic messages use your data connection to send, kinda like an email on the internet. You may need to contact your carrier to make sure that your data is set up correctly.
you can call tmobile and just let them know ur problem...what they will do is send you something through a text message and once u open it...it automatically changes some settings so that ur phone can send and receive picture messages
