Should be four screws holding it on. Take them off and keep them safe. The monitor is made to take this off and mount to a VESA square block plate for wall-mount etc.. look and you will see them there.

I have an Acer X223W, I need to pack it back in the original box. How do I take the stand off so it fits? Thank you!

If I am not mistaken this model has a screw on the bottom of the stand that secures the stand to the monitor.

What you need to do is to flip up the ring that is connected to the screw and then turn the screw in the anti-clockwise direction. Which will loosen the screw and allow you to remove the stand.

Take care!

In moving to a new apartment I flattened the neck of the circular stand with the monitor LG flatiron slim 19" into the box. Went very easily. Now when I put up my computer the stand of the monitor...

On my HP monitor on the stand, I have a locking mechanism that doesn't allow the display to be raised. I need to press a button on the stand while pushing down the display, then the button is possible to be pressed down. then while holding it down, I can pull the display upwards as much as it comes.

the stand locks in my case when pushed all the way in.

Maybe this is the same thing on yours? Maybe not?

I'm attempting to repack my AL2216W LCD Monitor into the original box. When I slide the two foam protectors on the ends, it won't fit into the box. The stand is in the way no matter how I position the foam...

Of course there is a trick to this. Remove the stand by pushing gently on the clip at the bottom. I usually turn it upside down to do this. Then lay the stand on top side of the foam.

Need to pack up flat screen monitor into original packaging. Do not know how to take off the stand or how to fold. Suggestions?

On the ack of the Monitor there should be some screws holding the stand in place. With a screw driver simply undo the screws and pull th monitor away from the stand. This should allow you to place all the pieces back in the box properly.

Acer Monitor Stand removal

On the rear of the monitor stand, just 1/2" above the word "Acer", is a rectangular button. push it in and pull the stand off . If you need to remove the rectangular tube, there are two snap on covers, one on each side of the tube. Pop them off and remove the screws underneath. That's it.

Can not remove the stand to mount it on the wall

If the Aquos 46 is anything like the Aquos 42, the monitor is attached to the base with machine screws (bolts). They are located in the lower back portion of the monitor, probably need an Allen wrench to loosen and remove. Once that is done, the base can be removed from the monitor. Best way is to lay the monitor face down on a tabletop padded with foam, a quilt or blanket, etc to protect the screen as you work. Remove the stand from the monitor, not the monitor from the stand; it is easier and safer that way.

Compaq FP 5315 Monitor Disassembly

This is how I did it.

1- Remove the four screws in the back of the monitor. Two are in the bottom corners and two more near the bottom center ( these hold the stand in place).
2- Remove the stand.
3-The case back is held on by the four screws and a number of plastic pressure clips. After removing the screws: using a fairly wide flat bladed screw driver; insert the blade in either of the two slots on the bottom edge of the case and twist with medium force. This begins the seperation of the back from the rest of the monitor. As the crack widens, begin moving the blade of the screw driver along the widening crack (around the case edge) and twisting gently. This releases each pressure clip in turn. Separate the case back from the rest of the monitor.

I did this this way with my monitor. It works.
Good luck.
