Ive seen and heard of this fault before. Most of the time its a failed outdoor Electronic board but sometimes, it can be the indoor as well. Be safe and change both. The AQV 09 is notorious for this problem.

AQV!2 will run about 30 min then start flashing red on indoor unit and shut down, can wait a few minutes cut temp up and down and it will restart. Possible low Freon level?

You can turn off the Thermostat, and the powers switch on the furnance and turn the breaker off in the breaker box wait about 20 - 30 minutes and turn the breaker back on, and the power to the furance back on and the thermostat, this should reset the system.
