I lost one of the screws that holds on the hook assembly on my Pfaff 130. I have no idea where to begin to look for one. Does it need both screws or will one suffice til I can locate the other?
A local sewing machine center will have your screw if not exactly they will have a similar size and pitch of the screw threads. 99% they will have something similar even though it's not the same brand.

Because of the high precision of your Pfaff, there is is no such thing as 'close enough' or 'similar pitch'. Every model group had very specific parts. You may have to go to ebay to purchase another one for parts...especially if your timing belt breaks at some time in the future. You will also find some nice folks who do wonderful work with these machines.

Do you have a Lowes hardware store or an Ace hardware near you? take the screw that you still have with you .. i have found some hard to find screws at those places.. be sure to get help with it if you can find someone willing.. if you find one that fits (good enough) then use that one to hold things in place but use the original one to make the assembly tight.. i would say that one screw would hold it BUT that's too often a recipe for disaster and a 130 is a great machine to have .. and a real shame to damage one... hopefully you can find the one that belongs there.. also ebay can be a good place (although not cheep) to find sewing machine parts
