Scroll mouse is choppy when I am trying to scroll. It sometimes even goes back up. Very irritating.

I actually had done that first. I finally just took the mouse apart and cleaned it out. It is working much better now.

Try going into your Control Panel, go into the Mouse controls, and change the wheel scroll settings. There's a "lines to scroll" option that determines how much or little the wheel moves the page. Try changing this number up or down and see if the problem gets any better. Does the scroll wheel feel OK? is it sticky or hard to turn? is it smooth and loose?

Fix choppy scrolling

Hi Paula,
Is the scrolling choppy no matter what program you are using? WordPad, Internet Explorer, all the other programs you use? Another question, is scrolling choppy if you use an external mouse as well as the on board trackpad? And finally, did this just start recently, or has this been an ongoing problem?

MOUSE CAME APART INCLUDING SPRINGS HOW DO I PUT IT BACK TOGETHER

The Spring goes on the right side of the mouse wheel as it would be pointing at your computer. It supports the wheel to make it spring back when preasure is applied. Place the spring on the axle with the spring forming an spread out "A" (not a "V"). You will see that it falls nicely into the 2 little tower mounts. my real problem was with the other little piece of bent wire that fell out. This is the part that makes the snaping fealing as you scroll the wheel. This connects directly on the plastic part that is mounted on the scroll wheel. If you look at that plastic part you will see a small hole. One end goes in that hole & the other rounded end goes to the splines on the wheel itself. I hope this helps, it better that just saying go buy another.

Expert Mouse scrolling problem

I have the same problem running under win7 64 bit, I have just pulled apart my expert mouse\trackball to clean it and found that the scroll ring works by using a little infrared diode ... so no cleaning required ...

the screws for the base are located under the little rubber feet.

So I think the problem may be more related to drivers\software...
at the moment I cant find a win 64bit driver or mouse works application anywhere
