I had this same problem a while back. I had to take it to the Verizon store and they replaced the phone. The guy explained to me that it was a defect in the LG VX9800 phones.

how to transfer text from LG x-pression to computer I want to transfer my text messages to my computer and have tried everything I could think of. I called LG tech (supposibly)and he couldn't find anything either. Said there is actually no way to do it. I do have a SD card but I can't get the messages to move there either.
