Hasbro makes the Battleship games. Many Hasbro toy manuals are available here: http://corporate.hasbro.com/en-us/consumer-care/toy-game-instructions . I found four different electronic Battleship manuals. The 2006 Advanced Mission game manual link is http://www.hasbro.com/common/instruct/Battleship_Advanced_Mission_Electronic_2006.pdf . The 2003 version manual is here: http://www.hasbro.com/common/instruct/Battleship_Advanced_Mission_Electronic_2003.pdf . Finally the manual for the non-talking Electronic Battleship is here: http://www.hasbro.com/common/instruct/Battleship(electronic)nontalking.PDF .

All of the manuals have the deployment formations. The first two games are very similar in the game setup and play. The two older (Talking and Non-talking) versions also share most of their game play.
