The remote control does not use wires. It uses infrared (wireless) technology like most remotes in this century.

What is the p. con on the back of the kenwood 9105d?

Power control wire - tells the amp to turn on, usually connected to the blue/white or blue wire when blue/white is not present on aftermarket radios. On factory systems you usually want to hook up this connector to an acc source on the car

Amp will not come on ,no light

Yes!!!!!!!!!! Your remote wire is what tells your amplifier to turn on and off it won't work without it. Assuming your stereo headunit is an after market unit it has the correct wire for this. what you have to do is pull out you headunit, and in the back of the headunit where all the wires plug into your unit there is blue wire with a white stripe. this is the remote turn on wire. connect a wire to that blue n white wire and run it back to your amp, insert it into to the spot marked remote. turn your head unit on and your amp will power up... if you have all the rca cables hooked up your amp should be ready to go.... btw good choice on the amp, kenwood is the way to go!

Amp promblems

When hooking up an amp a remote wire has to be ran. It is possible to jump the remote from the power wire, but if you do this the amp will not shut off unless you disconnect it. If this is done on your amp your battery will continue to die. Also, most cd players have a remote connection. Check to see where your amp remote is running to.

Stereo wiring chart

If you go to anyplace that installs car stereos you can purchase an installation harness that will connect directly to your factory harness in your car. That way you would only need to wire your Kenwood harness to the instllation harness and that is just a matter of matching colors from the Kenwood harness to the installation harness. All you need to do after that is plug it in.

The wiring on the Kenwood harness is as follows:

yellow = constant 12 volts
red = ingnition (12 volts when key is turned on)
black = ground
white = front left speaker positive
white w/black stripe = front left speaker negative
grey = front right speaker positive
grey w/black stripe = front right speaker negative
green = rear left speaker positive
green w/black stripe = rear left speaker negative
purple = rear right speaker positive
purple w/blackk stripe = rear right speaker negative
blue = power antenna
blue w/white stripe = remote amp turn on
brown = phone
orange w/white stripe = illumination

Audio Output problems

Currently you have the blue wire from your Kenwood head unit connected to the blue wire in the Chrysler wire harness adapter. You need to disconnect this wire, and reconnect it to the blue/white wire coming from your Kenwood head unit instead. You probably already have the remote wire from your subwoofer amp connected there; both wires need to be attached to the blue/white Kenwood remote output. Your LHS is equipped with a factory amp. The blue wire in the Chrysler harness activates the amplifier, but it's connected to your Kenwood's power antenna activation output; therefore it's only being turned on when the tuner is selected.
