Question about RCA L46WD250 46 in. LCD HDTV

TV ONLY RECIEVES DIGITAL CHANNELS AND NO SOUND

TV WORKED FINE FOR ABOUT 6 WEEKS.  OUT OF THE BLUE IT WENT BLANK ON THE ESPN CHANNEL I WAS WATCHING.   RAN CHANNEL SEARCH ON IT AND IT RECOGNIZES THE 77 ANALOG CHANNELS BUT NO LONGER DISPLAYS THEM.  ALSO TURN VOLUME UP ALL THE WAY AND NO SOUND IS EVIDENT. CHECKED ALL THE MENUS AND THE INTERNAL SPEAKERS ARE ON.  HAVE TO TEAR INTO MY WALL TO GET THE TV OFF THE BRACKET SO I AM HOPING IT IS SOMETHING I CAN FIX WITHOUT ALL THE ADDED STRESS.

THANKS

Tried eveything. Unusable signal. Power on without picture. Cannot pick up any channels

Same problem. Since the total 'blackout', have been able to get only digital stations. No Analog stations. No Satellite Stations. No Sound.
Am not seeing any solutions since the original post in Oct 2007.
Other suggestions as how to best go about getting some help?

I had all the same problems with my 46" RCA. everything was fine for 5 months. then one day the sound started to fade. a few days later, no picture. The problem is with the digital board. not something you can fix yourself. luckily mine was still under warranty. Finally, after it sat in the repair shop for two months, and after many frustrating calls to RCA, they told me they DONT have the part needed to fix it. so my TV was replaced with the L46WD250. It worked great for about two days. now its stuck on some upgrade menu screen that I cant exit out of and when I turn the TV off, it comes back on in five seconds all by itself. very weird. I had to unplug it to turn it off. I guess i'll call RCA now and start all over. DONT BUY RCA!!!

its the digital board. I dont have the part number with me but RCA should know what your talking about. my repair center told me they had six units in for repair, all the same model, all the same problem. thats just one shop. and there are no parts available. very frustrating. RCA customer service was not that friendly or helpful either.

Your TV is most likely locked to that station because it doesn't have any other channels programmed in.

In the menu for the TV, run a channel scan. This will take probably 30-45 minutes for most TVs and will program the available channels into the TV so that they become available.

The digital tuner on my Olevia LT37HVS LCD TV freezes sometimes. When it does, you can't change channels, adjust the volume or even shut it off short of unplugging it. All of the other A/V inputs work just...

Tune the tv to a channel that is just blue screen. Then turn the tv off and unplug for at least 30 sec. Then plug the tv back in and turn it on. Then leave the tv on the blank screen channel go into the menu and do auto cable channel search. After the search is complete try all channels. This worked for me. My tv will not scan if the tv is on a channel that comes in. GOOD LUCK these tv's are junk .

Nothig bu a blue screen shows when turned on

Blue screen of Death?
No, this is not windoze.

can you change channels?
a blue screen usually means that you don't have a signal.
Is it hooked up through dvd/vcr player?

Try a straight connection to cable or antenna.

If it remains, then it requires surgery.

RCA tv

Check the signal type. It may be set incorrectly. Change the channel. You may be on a blank channel. Check to see if the TV is tuned to channel 3 or 4 if you are watching a videotape. Check the TV/VCR button on the VCR is in the correct mode by pressing the TV/VCR button on your VCR.

32 in ILO tv, goes blank

Usually the blue screen is an indication that the video signal to the TV is not present. Most of the new TV's have a video input selection button on the TV and on the remote; try changing the video input selection.
