hi thanks gizmo, i want to use the sync, so i went into settings on my mobile, then connection, then usb, and changed it to 'data' like i was told. when i plug it in my comp pics it up just not the software. i go onto COM on the sync software, it picks up my port, do the connection test and it picks it up and says connected to mobile, but then when i want to use the tools, all the buttons are grey and its still saying check the mobile connection.

I had the same problem but now i have found the solution for it. Its not the software its the phone. Go to your Phone Settings hit Connectivity and then Usb Connection select Data Service and now connect your phone to the pc and select connect in Mobilesync and it should work. After you are done using MOBILE SYNC you can simple go in settings once again and choose mass storage for any downloads!!!
ok, i had the same problm and it took me AGES to find out what it was. On your phone, go to setting, connectivity and usb device wotever it is. change from mass storage to data wotever. turn phone off then on then plug back in!
To Synchronise the Phone with the PC you must go to "connectivity" and set the USB Connection on the phone to Data Service and use the LG Sync. software. To transfer files such as photos videos or music, set to -Mass storage- and use windows explorer to Drag & drop.
it's easy.
