XEROX PHASER 6110 MFP REPLACE TRANSFER BELT MESSAGE

The machine displays ''Replace Transfer Belt'' machine is unresponsive. Tech support tells me they don't support the product and was manufactured by another company. They also told me that the machine wouldn't stop functioning back when I called them about the low message I couldn't reset when I called them last time. I hope somone has a solution, because I spent the money to replace the balt already.

If you have replaced the Image Transfer Belt, and the printer still does not work, you will need to reset the counter. Xerox would not tell me how to do it, so I did some investigating.

1. Enter Service Mode by pressing [MENU] [#] [1] [9] [3] [4]
2. If you do not see the Tech Mode menu press the menu button again. (You need to enter the key sequence quickly.)
3. Select Tech Menu
4. Select DataSetup
5. Arrow to Clear Counts and press Enter
6. Enter Password 1934
7. Arrow to Transfer Belt and press Enter.

The display will show Clearing Counts and then return you to the Tech Menu. Press exit several times to exit the Tech Menu and then power cycle the printer.

Replace Transfer Belt means the belt has come to end of it's life and needs replacing.

Solution: Purchase a new belt and fit into machine. The message will still be there. Call Xerox tech support and ask how to reset the transfer belt counter. It is in the "Tech Mode" of the machine....not a usual "user function", but very easy to do once you know how!

Not to be confused with: Transfer Belt Error.

Solution: Remove and reinstall belt. Switch power off/on. If problem remains it is likely that the belt is FAULTY and needs replacing.

This machine is simillar to Samsung CLP 300, cartridge is the same, so engine must be the same with slight differences. If you have already changed the belt and it did not reset automatically, then probably you will have to go into the printers toolbox or properties, there might be an option for that.

Just got this solution from another site,

I just purchased at the Compusa closeout. I had the same transfer belt issue. I found the white connector on the back of the imaging assy. did not mate up correctly with the one on the transfer belt assy. I had to take the top cover off by removing two screws. I then had to push the connectors together. After that the machine powered up fine.

    give it a try.

We can find any information for the transfer roller for the Phaser 6180, 6280 keeps coming up. Is our machine obsolete?

No, your machine is not obsolete. You're probably not finding anything on the transfer roller because it is really part of the transfer unit (part# 675K47088 ) The transfer unit contains the transfer belt and roller. Here is a video that shows you how to replace it.

I have a Xerox Phaser 6110 laser printer. When I try to print, I get Transfer Belt Error. When I go into the Troubleshooting Guide, it states that I get an Internal System Error. I have already tried to...

The "Transfer Belt" error shows up after the printer has printed 60,000 pages. At which time the belt needs to be replaced.

You can try resetting the count, which may clear the message:

1. Enter Service Mode by pressing [MENU] [#] [1] [9] [3] [4]2.
If you do not see the Tech Mode menu press the menu button again. (You need to enter the key sequence quickly.)
3. Select Tech Menu
4. Select DataSetup
5. Arrow to Clear Counts and press Enter6. Enter Password 19347. Arrow to Transfer Belt and press Enter.
The display will show Clearing Counts and then return you to the Tech Menu. Press exit several times to exit the Tech Menu and then power cycle the printer.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

I have transfer belt error indicate on machine

The "transfer" belt is a mechanism to move ("transfer") a sheet of paper as it goes through the printing-process.

The belt is either jammed or broken.

Take the printer to a local printer-repair technician.
She/he may advise you that it will be cheaper to REPLACE than to REPAIR the printer.

Is it possible to reset xerox phaser 6110mfp imaging units

The image unit can be reset.
This is done by use of a small program that Xerox certified engineers use. The process is really simple and only takes about 30 secs, if you have access to the program ( I do... :) ) It can also be used to reset transfer belt life etc ....

Printer keeps saying transfer belt error help

Hi sharonwoods:
Try these steps,i hope this helps you.

This is caused by an unseated or unlocked transfer
belt.
1. Open the top cover and check that the transfer belt is
properly seated and locked in position.
■ Reseat and re-lock the transfer belt.
■ If the fault recurs replace the transfer beltt.
2. Check the condition of the transfer belt harness
(especially if replacing the belt does not resolve the
problem).
■ Reseat or replace the harness if defective.
3. Check the signal on Pin 1 (CN10) on the main board.
■ Replace the main board if the signal is low.
