There are at least two versions of these door 'flappers' or mullions. One version has a spring at the top and the bottom where the part number is MHY62044103. Unfortunately, the same spring is not used in the one-spring version where the spring is installed only at the bottom. That spring is a bit thinner and is part number MHY62044106. The second version is my frig (Model #LFC25765SW) and most diagrams do not show this part. If it did swho the part, it does not provide the part number. As a result, most parts places, including LG recommended/official parts supplier are unable to identify it ("It's not in the system") and will instruct you to buy the entire mullion assembly (over $50). After several emails, phone calls, and chat sessions, I finally got LG to identify the part number provided here. The online shop that had a diagram to prove its existence is: EasyApplianceParts.com I found the part cheaper elsewhere, but gave them the business because they were the only supplier with the correct diagram.

I need to replace a spring in the mullion on my fridge. Anyone have a link to the repair manual for instructions on removing the mullion?

Use your model number and order the mullion assembly before you dismantle the old one... Looking at the new part will show you how and what to remove, in most cases... Samsung Refrigerator Spring DA81 01345B cannot be replaced on it's own. You will need a part more like this: DA97-06417Q, Order it with your model number to ensure the correct fit.

Why doesn't the mullion heater snap back after I open the door?

Hello Al;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

All is good. Your Mullion heater snaps back when you open the door because it is spring loaded. When you close the door the springs ensure that the mullion is flush and tight against the front of your unit.
The purpose of the mullion heater is to provide low heat to eliminate any moisture (condensate) created by the warm air in the room.

How do I replace the bottom socket where the door hinge slides in

I assume you mean the hinge that is on the cabinet and not the door? If its the door part that has failed, you will need to get a new door. If its the cabinet hinge, some of these are screwed onto the cabinet from underneath the fridge. Others however, are mounted inside the cabinet and are not really designed for replacement. Ive fixed a few over the years on different brands where the plastic hinge has broken but it can be a bit messy. The cabinet needs to be carefully peeled or bent back on the bottom corner of the fridge to access where the hinge is mounted. Unscrew the hinge and if you are lucky, the Manufacturer has these as a spare part. If not, the only way is to go to a hardware or cabinet parts store to try and source something that will suffice. Do NOT be tempted to put a normal gate or door hinge onto the fridge door and screw it onto the cabinet. Inside the cabinet especially around the edges are whats called "mullion heater" pipes or in older fridges, mullion elements. If you screw through a pipe, you will lose the gas and fridge will be shot. If you screw through an electrical mullion heater, there is a danger of electrocution.

Door mullion flips to a 90 degrees and the door hits left side and will not shut

Odds are the hinge base slid down. You can raise it up and tighten the screw.

Door latch

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Open Lever If the microwave door won't open the open lever might be broken. This part can be replaced separately.

Door Spring If the microwave door won't open the door spring may have broken. The door spring is located inside the door and keeps downward pressure on the door hook.

Door Latch If the microwave door won't open the door latch might be broken. The door latch is inside the microwave. The door hook, which is part of the door, engages with the latch to keep the door closed during operation. If the door latch or actuator breaks the door may not open.

Door Hook If the microwave door won't open the door hook might not be releasing properly. The door hook is installed inside the door and normally releases when the door is opened. The hook is made of plastic and will break over time. When this happens it will need to be replaced, it can't be repaired.

Button Spring If the microwave door won't open the button spring might be broken internally. The button spring can be replaced.
Button If the microwave door won't open the button might be broken internally. The button can be replaced.

Handle Actuator If the microwave door won't open the handle actuator might be broken. This is a plastic part which can become brittle over time. This part is connected between the door button and the door latch assembly.

My garage door opener only opens the door 2 feet high and stops, what could be the problem?

You could have a broken door spring or the drive gear is going bad. You need to remove the cover to check the gear. It is white nylon and is just in front of the motor. You can also increase the 'up force' which is a control on the rear of the motor unit.
