You almost certainly have problems with the power supply board which fails fairly often in these machines. They are available for around 80 euros, trouble is that having bought one it is not uncommon to plug it in only to find you have another problem. Your best bet is to take it to a big JVC service centre where they will have the spares to try substitute components without you having to buy them first!

When I plug in the TV, why does a green light come on at the bottom of the TV?

Fault to its main board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ . In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Ok t-con board is connected to main board which is giving signal and logic supply.. If the main board failed or giving a over voltage to the t-con it possibly your T-con gone out (new) again.

To isolate the problem try to replace the main board.

Flickers until all monitor area turns gray - just like tv without signal

Sounds to me like bad caps on the power board or main board.

The monitor is faulty for sure. Bring it back to the shop and tell them the problem is still happening and ask them to leave it on connected to a computer overnight since it takes a while to happen. They should see it happen and then troubleshoot it further.

My Hotpoint 960 is 18 months old and has develped a fault where the mains light and programmer display flicker simultaneously, and the machine cannot proceed through the programme. It does not respond to...

Flickering lights might just be caused by loose wires in the mains plug on the machine's power cable. I would suggest checking that first - for some reason the neutral wire seems more likely than the others to come loose. There might be brown / purple marks around the terminal inside the plug if this is the case. Also try replacing the mains fuse in the plug.

While you are there you might also try plugging a normal table lamp into the socket you use for the machine - if the house cabling to the socket is defective the lamp should flicker too.

If neither of these ideas is productive, the problem would appear to be within the machine, so please ask again. Good Luck D.
