Picture goes to a lime green fuzz and then no piture or sound!
Bought last week and worked brilliantly. Power (green) and blue ray lights are on. Wireless controller is working but as I have no picture/sound I have no idea where I am. I've switched off/on and changed games etc. When messing around with wireless controller occassionally picture and sound will return only to go blank again a minute later. Can anyone help please?

Which AV connection are you using? HDMI or the cable supplied with the PS3, If using HDMI, you have to set the PS3 visual settings to HDMI, to do this, use the cable supplied with the PS3, and have the HDMI cable plugged in. Then while using the cables supplied with the PS3, switch the settings over to HDMI, then change the TV's input selector to your HDMI and confirm the settings changes. Hope it helps take care

I have a toshiba 50hm67 tv and with mine the blue light would come on and I would hear sound first and then the picture would finally come on... this happend for about a month.... next the yellow and blue light would come on but the pic still wouldn't come on until it clicked off and on by itself for about 10 min this went on for about a week. All of a sudden last night the red lights by the power light started blinking. No tv now and when the tv shut off it said lamp not working.
The sounds like the light engine is bad. Sony is notorious for blobs because of the three LCD chip inside consisting of a red, green, and blue chip. The light from the lamp is reflected and then combined back together to form a brilliant picture. Unfortunately one of the chips is bad, or has melted due to extreme heat from the lamps. This can cause the color blobs on the screen. A lot of people experience blue or green blobs in the center or on the sides of their sets.
Try powering on you unit press and hold the power button and the eject button for 30 sec unti the power light begins to flash thats going to reset the setting of your ps3, and if that does not work i would rec> sending it out so sony if its still under warranty or exchanging it from where u bought it.
